Their escape from the Raft officially qualified them as war criminals.
In order to be with their families and to be pardoned, Clint and Scott made plea deals with the FBI and the German government. They did not want to be on the run.
Steve, on the other hand, was not going to surrender. He left a voice mail message for Tony, apologizing for everything that had happened in Germany and Siberia. He had told his friends who were also on the run what had happened after Tony confronted him and Bucky in Siberia, how he had found out about his parents' death and Tony's attempt to kill Bucky.
Hayden didn't think that would happen. He had given Tony their location because he thought it would help. He just didn't predict how Zemo was using them as pawns, and his ultimate plan was to tear the Avengers apart.
A plan he accomplished.
In a way, he respected Zemo for his strategic genius.
After dropping Bucky off in Wakanda to help him get rid of his conditioning, the team finds themselves in the TARDIS on their way to Europe. The team is made up of Steve, Wanda, Hayden, Sam and Natasha, who has managed to track them down.
Steve was sitting in one of the chairs in the TARDIS control room, like the rest of the team, while Hayden was working on something on a work surface with various objects and electronic components.
"How are you all doing?" Asked the Captain.
"For a few enemies of the law, I say we're doing well." Replied Hayden, amused that he had to accommodate his friends.
"So, what's the plan?" Sam asked.
"It's just us now. The Avengers aren't what they used to be, but I can't abandon the mission." Sighs Steve.
Steve was always willing to give his life for the good of humanity. He was still a hero and wanted to help those in need.
"So... are we becoming vigilantes?" Natasha asked.
"If that's what it's called now, then yes." Said Steve with a shrug.
Hayden understood Steve's point, he used to do this on a larger scale before joining the Avengers. Even after the government labeled him a criminal, he would still help those in need.
But did Wanda want this?
"I'm in." She said suddenly, which surprised Hayden. It was as if she read his mind.
Did she?
"Are you sure, Wanda?" He asked. "On the run, even if the TARDIS can serve as our home, we could still make ourselves..."
"What other choice do we have?" She said, taking his hand and intertwining her fingers with his. "Besides, as long as we're together... there's nowhere I'd rather be."
"Then so would I." Smiled Hayden.
"So what are we? The five fugitives?" Sam asked.
"I think not having a team name is best strategically." Declared Hayden, earning a nod from Steve.
"He's right, that way no government organization can trace it back to us." He replied.
It was a new beginning. And their new life was starting now.

Soon after, Hayden gave his friends a quick tour of the TARDIS, leading them to several of their rooms, pointing out the kitchen and other areas.
Now he was standing at a computer on the TARDIS control console, joined by Wanda who wondered what he was up to.
"What are you doing?" She asked.
