"Are you feeling better?" Taehyung's voice asked.
"Yeah I think I am." You replied, staring down the practice questions on the sheet of paper. It's the weekend and you are cracking down on studying. You went to cram school this past week and surprisingly Taehyung tagged along all week. Said that he wanted to get some decent grades as well.
You were a bit surprised he enrolled so late and paid for the sessions. But hey, this was the most stressful part of the whole year. Plus, the friend group found out about your little secret. Okay, you accidentally exposed yourself!
It was when Seojoon had gotten you a drink after cram school and feeling so giddy, you gave him a giant hug. Yeah, sure, you've given hugs to Dahyun but none to the other friends yet. That sparked a forest fire of rapid questions. You came clean and now everyone found out. Seojoon didn't hide it anymore and was proudly holding your hand when he walked you home.
The group cheered and thanks to them being rowdy, gathering attention from unwanted people. It was a bit embarrassing. But with the first exam, for most schools in the area, was looming over everyone's heads and it took away some of the teasing about you two. It seemed like the day of the exam was fast approaching.
Oh who are you kidding?
It's starting in a couple of hours!
You woke up early due to not being able to sleep well. You just ate your breakfast since you definitely don't want your stomach growling during the middle of it. Your parents wished you luck and now here you are, taking your sweet time with your nose buried in your notes.
Thankfully, you could take all the time that you need while you try to catch up on subjects you weren't so good at. You muttered to yourself every once in a while, earning some attention from people walking by. As you waited to cross the street, you gasped out loud once you realized something. You forgot another notebook at home that had more notes to this!
You cursed inside your head and quickly looked at the time. Hm, judging by how you're almost halfway there and maybe if you ran the whole way home? Yeah, you think you can make it. Before you could even start running, a cheerful voice came out of nowhere.
"Hi Y/N!" Taehyung smiled. Now you have no time! You thought to yourself as you greeted him.
He tilted his head a bit, making the hair fall into his eyes. "Are you okay? You look a little off."
Taehyung must be a great reader. Or reads people great. Why are you even thinking about this? You quickly explained the situation and he nodded once you concluded. "Here you can take my notebook." He started to unzip his bag.
"No, that's okay! You need it too! I'm just going to run and tell the teacher that I'll probably be late." You rejected his offer. Or tried to.
Taehyung fished his notebook out quickly and shoved it into your hands. "No, I insist! Besides, I'm confident in this subject so don't worry." He winked.
You gripped onto the notebook, a look of suspicion etched across your face. "Are you really confident?" Running right now didn't seem that appealing to you.
"Yep! Go ahead and study all you want. I have other notes if you forgot them as well."
You thanked him for his offer and opened up the notebook. His notes were neat and carefully written. You commented on it as Taehyung looked proud of his work. Now you tried to fill that head of yours with some valuable information.

It looks like the academy paid off!
He wasn't confident in this subject but you don't need to know the truth. What harm does a lie do? Oddly enough, the lies that came out of his mouth were starting to sound like the truth. Perhaps it's a new habit that he picked up.
The neat note taking and organization he was taught by that random teacher at the academy (who he couldn't even remember their face or name) finally came in handy. He obviously didn't really care about his grades but hey, time spent at the academy was where you were. If he had to listen to the boring words coming out of this teacher's mouth while he got to sneak glances at you then so be it.
Today he knew it was the first day of exams and he felt neutral. The only thing on his mind was that he wanted to see you. Were you nervous? Anxious? Right now, he's feeling ecstasy. This is like some fairy tale; the prince coming to rescue the princess. He likes this feeling. It seems like this is another habit that he's going to pick up.
Taehyung knew that it felt a bit wrong. But he's liking the addiction of the feeling. It's harmless, he decides. Really harmless.

You sighed in relief as you leaned back. Your back was starting to hurt, your head was feeling achy and your body was stiff from your position. But finally, you get a longer break now! After two long exams with a short break in between, it was time for lunch. As the homeroom teacher collected the exams, they made sure everything was in order before allowing everyone to get their food.
At once, you found Dahyun who looked dead. "Do you think you did well?" You asked, knowing she got that tired zombie look with a subject she wasn't good at.
"No." She stood up. "But oh well, it's in the past now."
"Hope you two did okay!" Taehyung bounded over to you with a smile. He stretched out his body to prove a point.
Both of you commented with so-so before the three of you headed to the cafeteria. While you three got your food, you all claimed an empty table, digging in. After eating lunch, you sat there, getting the craving for one of the good breads that the snack shop sold. "I'll be back. You guys want anything from the snack shop?" You asked. After getting confirmation of "no", you grabbed your empty tray to put away.
Hey, you deserved it after suffering throughout that whole time! You convinced yourself, putting the dirty tray into the designated pile and walking down the hallway. It was quite the journey as the snack shop was practically at the front of the school versus the cafeteria in the back. Once you got there, you frowned. The place where all the bread was gone!
Damn, students must have gotten here before they went to lunch. You sighed but still got candy to reward yourself.
You headed back to the table with your candy. Dahyun looked at it and guessed the situation. "Sold out of bread?"
"Yes!" You tore open your candy with a slight pout forming on your mouth. "I should have gone before we came here." You said, popping one of the colorful candies into your mouth.
"Ah, I'm going to the bathroom, let the teacher know I'll be a little late." Taehyung got up suddenly. He waved as he walked away. Hopefully the teacher won't be too mad that he's late.
