Mindlessly, you walked down the street. Taehyung texted you earlier as he wanted some help in choosing some things for the trip. Something along the lines of some food, maybe alcohol and some of those water floats.

You didn't have anything to do today so you figured why not?

You continued at a nice, slow pace. You didn't even need to be there at a certain time as Taehyung said he was going to be a little late. So here you were waiting for the crosswalk to let you walk across the street.

Then you felt a tug on your hand.

Spooked by the sudden touch, you jumped and your eyes landed on a small boy who was looking up at you. "Oh sorry! I thought you were my sister." His innocent eyes studied your face for another moment. "You kind of look like her."

You muttered out a thanks until the boy turned around. He searched everywhere and then rushed off. You saw him jump into someone's arms... Well, at least he found someone. You crossed the street and continued at your slow pace.

Then you finally arrived at the place Taehyung told you to meet at. He wasn't there yet so you took a seat on the flower bed's concrete. The warm sun felt great and honestly if you didn't have things to do, you might have taken a nap. Soon afterwards, Taehyung appeared with a grin. "Hi! Thanks for helping me out."

"No problem." You stood up, brushing off the dirt on you. "I had nothing else to do anyways. So, what are we getting first?"

He pulled out his phone. "Hm, I think we should get some water floats first, what do you think?"

"It sounds good. Lead the way."

Taehyung grinned, pocketed his phone and led the way. You noticed he had his backpack with him. Possibly to help carry stuff? That was kind of smart. After all, some of the things are going to be compact.

For the next few hours, the two of you got some things. Floats, some inflatables, a small gas stove since Taehyung thought of the possibility of a windy day at the beach, some snacks, drinks, and at last some of those folding chairs usually used for camping. It was quite a bit of things and all you're holding is the bag of snacks.

"Taehyung," You sounded unsure, eyeing how he was struggling a bit. "I can carry one." You tried reaching out your hand to take one of the folding chairs away but Taehyung was quick to sidestep you.

"I'm all good!" He gave you that boxy smile as continued ahead of you.

You blinked at him, following. He paused for a moment, adjusting his grip on the chairs and you took this as your chance to grab one. You swooped in, grabbing one of the chairs.

"Y/N!" Taehyung was surprised and you stood a bit aways from him.

"Just let me help out." You stated. "I didn't want you to struggle carrying these all the way to your house."

There was an indescribable expression on his face. It was like he was a statue. That is until you called out his name. "Taehyung?"

"Sorry." He quickly apologized. All of a sudden, he grabbed the chairs with renewed strength and walked past you. You watched him for a bit, somewhat confused. Still, you followed him. The atmosphere was... you're not sure how to describe it. Awkward? Annoyance? Fearful? It felt like you were now walking on eggshells as Taehyung kept quiet.

He was blank faced, eyes always staring ahead. You kept quiet. You're not sure how Taehyung is feeling and honestly, you don't like it when he is this quiet. It's unnerving as you're used to seeing the happy expression on his face.

At last, you reached his house. It was the same as always; hidden behind a couple of other houses. Nothing changed since the last time you were here. Entering the home, you followed him to the back of the house where there was a kitchen. You weren't here the last time but you could tell it was a cozy kitchen. It felt warm.
