Dahyun's fingers tap nervously as she awaits to cross the street.

Today is your funeral service.

She knows she looks horrible from the restless and crying nights that she's done. Sometimes at night, she wonders if she had continued to be with Taehyung and if she was the one caught in his trap? It's scary to think and she would rather have it be her than you.

You never deserved any of this.

She feels a brush on her shoulder and realizes the light has allowed for her to cross. People are already crossing. Dahyun follows but she walks slowly. She knows that she's going to be a mess at the service but it's hard to face reality sometimes.

Dahyun's arms are wrapped around her stomach. It's giving her some comfort for now. Her parents were picking up her older sister for your service and in all honesty, she wants some alone time to gather her thoughts.

The future you two discussed once is shattered now. There's nothing for you. No dreams of being a doctor, traveling abroad, making new friends in a new country... nothing.

Her fingers dig into her sides and she pauses. There's a sense of dread in the air. Slowly, she turns her head to the side and realizes where she is.

In front of Taehyung's house.

She feels like throwing up. You were kept here for your final days. Tears are forming in the corners of her eyes. She shakes and takes a deep breath. Then her eyes catch sight of wrapping paper caught by the wheel of a parked car.

That's strange for wrapping paper.

Dahyun can see some writing on it. She slowly goes to it and crouches down to retrieve it. Her breath gets caught in her throat when she sees the handwriting. Then the message becomes clear to her.

You have written for help.

She cries and wants to punch herself. You tried. She feels horrible now and sits on the curb of the sidewalk. Dahyun's hands crumple up the wrapping paper in her hands. She fears that it will disappear if she doesn't feel it within her grasp.

She wished that she had been more cold to Taehyung.

She wishes that she ruined him before he met you.

She wishes that it won't happen to anyone else.

She sits there and when she feels the tears have stopped momentarily, she gets up on shaky legs. There, she carefully folds the paper and hides it within her pockets. Dahyun continues on her way to the service.

Perhaps if there wasn't the awkward period of when she didn't talk to you, this would have never happened. Dahyun blames herself a lot. Slowly the building where your memorial service comes into view. She slows down and is hesitant to go inside.

Then, she spots Seojoon who comes outside. His face looks exactly like hers. Bags underneath his eyes and eyes that are red shot from all the crying. He spots her and gives her a faint smile. "Hi."

She nods. She doesn't trust her voice to speak.

"Y/N's parents are inside. I just came out for a breather." His own voice is trembling and sounds raw.

Dahyun whispers "thank you" and moves her feet to go inside. She spots your parents and offers her condolences once more. They hug her and at last, once she sees your picture. It's when she loses it again. She shakes from her cries and wipes frantically at the tears. She could feel one of your parent's hand rub circles on her back.

There is a bit of comfort in the action and she accepts it until her family can come at least.

Dahyun continues to cry and Seojoon returns. They do hope that you found peace after what happened to you. And hope nothing like this happens again.

It can never happen.
