As Makoto lazed in bed with his dog, Komaru drop kicked his door opened. Makoto flinched aggressively as he gasped of fear. Komaru picked herself up as if nothing happened and straightened out her skirt. "Kiri, came to see you I guess." Komaru shrugged. Kyoko walked in and closed the door behind her. "Kyoko, I'm so glad you came!" Makoto tried to hug her but, she backhanded him across his face, with the strength of her hand, Makoto fell to the floor as he lost balance. "Ow! What the hell!" He raised his voice. Kaikhan barked at Kyoko. Kyoko darted her eyes at Kaikhan. She didn't even noticed the little puppy. "That's for what happened earlier." Kyoko said calmly.

"I thought we were cool.." Makoto pouted, not adorably, he was really upset now. "Cool? No. Actually, I'd like to talk about it." Kyoko said crossed her arms. "W-we can talk about it another time r-" "No. Right here, right now." She demanded. "Why do you trust him?" She asked him. "He's my principal. Of course I trust him.." Makoto replied. "His innocent looks aren't what they seem. He is a unfit father and charlatan." She looked away. "About earlier, you said he abandoned you?" Makoto tilted his head to see Kyoko's face. "Yes, he abandoned me when I needed him most. My mother had died of illness and that imposter I called a father used her death as an excuse to leave the family. My grandfather then kicked him out of the family. I merely wanted to cut ties with him until he forced me to attend Hope's Peak." She explained. "Your grandfather made you?" Makoto asked cluelessly. "No, dingus, my father." She snapped. "Oh.." Makoto mumbled before trying to hold her hand.

She smacked his hand away. He frowned. "I feel sorry for what you've been through, why didn't you tell me sooner?" Makoto asked softly. "I don't want your pity." She snapped again. She must've been really upset with him. Makoto picked up Kaikhan and stroked her back. Kaikhan sat still. Glaring at Kyoko, Kaikhan grumbled. Kyoko looked at Kaikhan. Kaikhan huffed at her and yipped. Kyoko turned her head away. Makoto looked at her and placed Kaikhan on the floor. He scooted closer to her and rubbed her back. She sighed. He slid his finger under her chin and turned her head towards him. He gently placed his lips onto hers. After he pulled away, she turned her head the other way again.

"Do you...wanna spend another night? If not you can leave if you want, I-I won't keep you hostage.." Makoto said nervously and quietly. His face was inches away from her face, trying his best to resist kissing her again. Her lips were still as soft and glossy when he first kissed her. "I'll stay another night, only because I don't wanna see his face." She grimaced from even thinking about Kirigiri Jin as she walked out of his room. Makoto scooped Kaikhan in his arms and walked behind her, ready for dinner. As Mioki placed the plates of sushi on the table, Kyoko and Makoto sat down. Makoto placed Kaikhan down onto the floor and she ran towards the wet food in her bowl. Kyutai and Komaru also came.

There was an uneasy silence at the table which was rare, especially in the Naegi Residence. Their house was quite noisy but now, there was a lingering and awkward atmosphere in the air. Makoto glanced at Kyoko. Mioki sighed softly. "So...How was your day, Kirigiri?" Mioki asked politely. Kyoko looked up. "My day was quite interesting, I was at a 4 hour trial today." Kyoko said as formal as she could say it despite being very annoyed by Makoto and not wanting to talk to anyone. "Oh? Did it end well?" Mioki asked curiously. "Yes ma'am, due to my investigation, the criminal is in jail, he's lucky he has parole." Kyoko said calmly. "So tell me, how long have you been a detective?" Mioki asked. Kyoko thought for a moment.

"4 years, I trained as one ever since I was about 6 years old." Kyoko said taking a bite out of the sushi with her chopsticks. "That's impressive! By the way, I've heard Kirigiri Jin was the headmaster of your school, any chance you 2 are related or is that coincidence?" Mioki asked again. Kyoko sighed. "He's my..father." Kyoko grumbled softly. "I knew it! You both have very good-looks, no wonder! Mr. Kirigiri is very handsome and you are the most gorgeous and mature teenager I've met!" Mioki smiled. "Thank you, ma'am." Kyoko thanked her. Makoto finished his food and left his plate on the table before kissing Kyoko's cheek. "Thanks for the food, Okasan!" Makoto thanked her cheerfully. "Your welcome, honey." Mioki smiled. Makoto walked up the stairs with Kaikhan following him behind. "Seems like Kaikhan likes Makoto." Mioki whispered to her husband, Kyutai. "Indeed, every pet we have they really like him." Kyutai agreed as he whispered back. "I hope Komaru likes her too, after what happened to Tankiro, she doesn't like other dogs." Mioki whispered. "Please forgive for prying but, who's Tankiro?" Kyoko asked curiously. "Oh! Tankiro is our late pet. She was a pit bull!" Mioki said cheerfully.
"She was so adorable as a puppy and was basically attached to Komaru. They did everything together. But then after Tankiro's 12th birthday, she's been slowing down and died as she was cuddling with Komaru. It was sad and Komaru never wanted Tankiro to leave her behind. Komaru was devastated but, we helped her through it. We all miss our precious Tankiro." Mioki said as she should a picture of Tankiro. She was a red Merle pit bull who was a little chubby like most pitties. Sweet innocent dark brown eyes and a red nose. "Shes really pretty, Ms. Naegi." Kyoko said giving a small smile. "Thank you, Kirigiri. I wish she was still here though. She loved cuddling us and sat on Komaru's feet, she'd stare at her, she'd even sleep with her. I can just imagine sleeping with a 70 pound pit bull." Mioki chuckled. "Well, thank you for the meal, Ms. Naegi." Kyoko thanked her. "Anytime sweetheart." Mioki replied as Kyoko walked up the stairs. As she entered his room she found him lying in bed watching a YouTube video on his phone. Kyoko pulled down her skirt and took off her blazer. She kept on a t-shirt. As she snuggled under the covers, Makoto placed his arm around her waist, pulling her closer to him. She tried to pull away from him. Makoto frowned and backed away, giving her space to think and sleep.
