As Makoto quietly groaned as he sat up, he scanned the location he was in. He felt something beside him. He looked down to see Kyoko, fast asleep. He jumped in surprise. He then calmed down and sat there. He didn't wanna get up just yet. 'She looks peaceful while sleeping. Still as gorgeous as ever.' He thought. Soon after, he got a knock at her door. He decided to open it and saw Aoi standing there. "Makoto? What are you doing in Kyoko's room?" She asked. Clearly she was confused. "Sleepover. Need anything?" He asked. "Well..there's a problem." She said looking disappointed. Makoto tilted his head in confusion. "Sayaka..cheated on you." She said. Makoto stood there petrified and shocked by the news. Although, he didn't care. "Ok." He said calmly. "Your not mad?" "No. Something told me that we wouldn't be a good match." He said. Aoi nodded and walked away. Makoto closed the door and sighed before turning around to see Kyoko in her pajama's staring at him. "AHH!! Kyoko, you scared me!" He said in a panic. He then looked at her clothing and  saw she was wear a black t-shirt with black shorts. "Kyoko?" She asked. Makoto just realized he called her by her first name. "Sh*t! I'm sorry!" He apologized. Kyoko sighed and walked towards her bathroom to brush her teeth. "You want me to give you some privacy?" Makoto asked. Kyoko looked at him. She didn't answer. "I'll take that as a yes." He said before walking out her room. He closed the door behind him then went to his dorm to get ready.
He showered and brushed his teeth before exiting to wait for Kyoko. A few minutes later, Kyoko exited her dorm and looked down to see Makoto. "Hey! I was going to get some breakfast with you, if that's ok!" He said beaming at her. "I suppose that's alright." She said calmly. As Makoto and Kyoko walked to the cafeteria, Sayaka popped up and hugged Makoto. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean too! It was by accident!" She apologized. "Maizono..please. I don't feel like talking to you." He said trying to pull her off of him. He then wrapped his arms around Kyoko and Sayaka let go. "Please...just go away." He mumbled as he tightened his grip. "Maizono, I think you should leave.." Kyoko said as she hugged Makoto back. Sayaka rolled her eyes and walked away. Kyoko looked down at Makoto, his head was resting over her shoulder as they hugged. "Naegi, care to elaborate?" Kyoko asked. "Sayaka cheated on me right after we dated for only a week.." He said with his face buried in her blazer. She sighed and stroked his brown hair. "Come along. Maybe some Coffee will get your mind off of that." She said as cupped his head in her hands. He softly smiled and nodded. As they entered the cafeteria, Kyoko ordered for herself and Makoto. She came back with black coffee and got Makoto some sweeteners.

"Thanks again, Kiri." Makoto said as he took a pack of sugar and pouring it into his coffee. Kyoko nodded in response. "It's what friends are for.." She mumbled under her breath. She sipped her coffee and looked at him as he came back with tons of sweeteners and cream. She giggled as he tried to pour them all in. He sipped the coffee but, it still wasn't sweet to him. "Damn this coffee is strong.." He mumbled. Kyoko shook her head in amusement as she took another sip of her coffee. "Alright it should be sweet now." He said as he tried the coffee. It still wasn't sweet. "Alright I give up.." Makoto said dramatically slouching into the chair. Kyoko took the mug and tried it. She smacked her lips a few times. "It's fine. Although, it's a little too sweet." She said placing it back in front of him. He sighed in defeat. He decided to just despair and drink it. Then it was the most amazing thing he tasted. "What the- The coffee suddenly turned sweet. Huh...I guess your good luck, huh?" Makoto said to Kyoko whilst beaming at her. She shrugged. She really didn't know what to say. 'I wonder why it turned sweet after she tried it. She must be a good luck charm.' Makoto thought as he chugged the whole mug. Kyoko stared blankly. She checked her phone to see what time it was. "It's 10:28. We should get going since class starts in 2 minutes." Kyoko said as she sat the mug on the table. Makoto did the same. As they entered the hallway outside the cafeteria. Makoto hugged Kyoko. She hugged him back. "Thanks..for this." He said. She nodded. He let go of her as he looked into her beautiful purple eyes. She blinked also noticing she was staring at him. A tint of pink entered her cheeks as she walked away to her class. Makoto did too. As he entered, he saw Sayaka with some flowers. "Makoto please forgive me!! I'm sorry!" She begged. He ignored her and sat down in his assigned seat. Sayaka looked at her feet in disappointment and sat down too.

~~~After 3 classes~~~
Makoto got his lunch and sat down at the table waiting for Kyoko to sit beside him. She walked up to him and sat down beside. "Hey Kiri!" He chirped. "Hello, Naegi." She greeted him. He always felt warm and fuzzy around Kyoko. As he took a bite out of the fancy ramen noodles he was eating, Kyoko was thinking. She didn't touch her food just yet. Makoto shrugged it off and continued eating. Then Sayaka came running and sitting beside Makoto. Makoto looked confused. "Hey Makoto!! Ya wanna go on a date somewhere?" Sayaka said as she wrapped her arms around Makoto. He whined and hugged Kyoko. This was his way of saying go away. Sayaka groaned and stood up. "Why won't you accept my apology?!" She asked. Kyoko glared at her. "My opinion is that you did something wrong and he wants it to be a 1 time thing." Kyoko said as she put her hand on Makoto's head. Reassuring that he's safe around her. "It was on accident!" She yelled. "You must be an imbecile if you call that an accident." Kyoko snapped. Sayaka scoffed in annoyance at Kyoko. "Well then I'll have Makoto decide. Makoto do you wanna come with me or...her." Sayaka grimaced at Kyoko when she said 'her'. Makoto didn't have to think. He wanted to be with Kyoko. "I wanna be with Kyoko." He mumbled. Sayaka stormed off furiously. Kyoko looked at Makoto who wouldn't let go. She stood up and he did too. She threw the plate away and began walking through a corridor. Makoto was holding on to her, he didn't want to leave her. Kyoko sat in a nearby chair against a wall in a hallway and Makoto did as well. As they sat there, Makoto stayed still also taking in the scent of Lilacs and Blueberries from Kyoko. Kyoko waited for lunch to end because then it's their 4th period. And Makoto will be in the same class as her. "Kyoko..." Makoto muffled. "Yes?" She responded looking at her shoulder to see his brown hair. "Can I tell you something?" He asked lifting up his head. "Of course." She replied. "I..I li-" "Kirigiri, I need to speak with you." Byakuya said bluntly. "Oh?" She questioned. "Privately.." He added as he glared at Makoto, telling him to leave. "Go away, Naegi." He said snatching his arm off Kyoko. "B-But.." Makoto looked down in disappointment. "I'll come check up on you later.." Kyoko said. Makoto nodded and walked pass Byakuya. Byakuya sat beside Kyoko although, he was a bit close to her. "Your father settled up a date for us. I'll drive you there at 7:30." He said clearly not looking in her direction. "And why?" She didn't seem to be interested in such since she was friends with only 1 person at the time. "I'm not sure. You'd better ask him.." He said before standing up on his long legs and walking away, leaving her confused. As much as she hated talking to her father, she had to ask why he would choose Byakuya. Kyoko stood up and began walking towards the Principals office. She took a deep inhale and exhaled through her mouth. She knocked on the door and heard his voice. "Come in." He said. Kyoko opened the door to see the one and only, Jin Kirigiri. Jin looked up to see his beautiful daughter standing in front of him. "Hello Kyoko. Please sit." He said politely. "So how are you?" He asked. She stayed silent. "I'm glad to hear that." He said smiling softly at her. "Father, I merely came here to ask a question." She said sternly. "Well, spill the tea." He said. "Why did you set a date for my and Togami? You could've picked anyone else." Said Kyoko. "Well he is the example of a good student. And I didnt know you liked someone." He said writing away on his laptop. "I don't like anyone. I'm just saying." She said slightly blushing. Jin chuckled softly and looked in her direction. "Well if you do I hope that person is a great-"
Before he could finish Kyoko slammed the door.
