11. Promise

The Iron had run out of bullets.

For a few seconds everyone stood silent.

"THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING!!"

David to Pillar who was now on the ground realizing what just happened.

"David you--"

"ARE YOU FUCKING BLIND!!??? COULD YOU SEE HIS EYES GLICH OUT!!!!"

Then was placed on he's shoulder.

"Calm down kid."

I was Maine, David then took a deep breath.

He just saved Pillar.

Then David's breathing started to calm down, as Nano started to lower his adrenaline levels.

Also slowing down his hart rate to a more normal speed.

"I -"

David was cut off by Rebecca who had just jumped on the container.

She then jumped up at David and hugged him close, David then wrapped one arm around her waist holding her up.

"Than you."

Then she let and jumped off the container and walked to Pillar and hugged.

"Becca?"

Pillar said a bit shocked, then Rebecca let and just punched straight in the face so hard it knocked him down.

"That's for being a fucking idiot!"

David wasn't really paying much attention to the scene, all of the emotions from the first time line and then the emotions from this one were in full swing.

And that caused a headache or migraine, David didn't really know but his head hurt.

"I'm gonna Delta."

"Huh!? Oh Hell no, you just saved me, from getting my head blown of, we have to celebrate!"

Pillar who had now gotten up from the ground yelled toward David who was walking away.

" not feeling well, I'll just bring the mood down"

David walked away passed Dorio and Kiwi.

"Shit Kidz you did good."

"Yeah, fuckin' impressive."

David only nodded in response, he existed the alleyway.

[Nano cal the car]

The car drives up ti David and he then gest in the driver seat, the passenger door then opened.

David turned to look and it was Lucy, who got in.

"So? Where are we going?"

Before David could answer Lucy then and climb from the passenger seat and onto David's lap.

"Oh, I know, let's go to my house."

Shit! Right! Tonight was the night Lucy and he, did . . . IT he had completely forgotten.

Lucy then wrapped one of David's arm around her waist.

"What are you waiting for? Let's go."

[Time Skip]

They arrived at Lucy's house the get out of the car, and walk up the stairs, and arrive at her apartment door.

"Let's up to the roof."

She said as she grabbed David's arm and pulled him along.

They were now on the roof sitting on the same spot as before, across from each other.

"Aw, cloudy tonight."

David looked up at the sky, looking a bit dissipated.

"Yeah, a shame."

Then he turned his gaze back on Lucy as she began to speak.

"I had something I wanted to talk to you about."

"Huh?"

'It's about the moon, BD, isn't it?' David thought, and sure enough, it was.

"I know how it must look, but it's true what I said then, It was actually the first time I told anyone."

"Well, that's good. I like that, the idea that you weren't lying."

"What if I'm lying now?"

"Nahh."

"Why not?"

"Just don't see it."

"Pfttt, crazy."

Lucy said that with a small laugh.

"Just wish you'd said something earlier and spilled it right away."

"Yeah, sorry about that."

There was a bit of silence.

"Why did you do it?"

Lucy asked referring to David earlier actions, and finally braking the silence

"I just . . . . Didn't want to see anyone I care het hurt . . . Again."

"Heh, I knew it."

"Knew what?"

Lucy then got up and walked closer to David.

"You're the type of guy who jumps in the fire to save someone, even when you know you're going to get burned."

David was now looking directly at Lucy.

"Not a merc quality Huh?"

"No, I know you'll make a good edgerenner. Already are, I think."

"So? What the problem?"

"Don't make a name by for yourself as a cyberpunk by how you live."

Then she kneeled down in front of him.

"I- . . . I don't want you to die on me."

"I won't, after all, I have to take to the moon, I promise you that."

Lucy didn't wait any longer, she pulled David in a kiss but the side of his face. David also pulled Lucy closer but her waist,
