Then she kneeled down in front of him.

"I- . . . I don't want you to die on me."

"I won't, after all, I have to take to the moon, I promise you that."

Lucy didn't wait any longer, she pulled David in a kiss but the side of his face. David also pulled Lucy closer but her waist.

THE NEXT DAY]

David was know siting on a couche next to Maine, some music was playing, it was a bit awkward, on account of what happened last, and he wasn't thinking about part where his was at Lucy's apartment.

That shit still feels like a dream, or something like that.
"So Dwag you alright, you kinda freaked out last night?"

Maine was the first one to brake the silence, while David was looking at the table infront of them, where the hands on Pillar would have been.

"Yeah, sorry about that, the adrenaline got the better of me last night."

"Heh, no shit, you stopped Pillar from getting his head blown of, that would have any of our adrenaline pumping."

David smiled a bit, he missed the times he would juts sit and talk with Maine.

"So? Where is he anyway?"

Last he wasn't here because he was dead, so why wasn't he here this time.

"Oh he got blackout drunk last night, probably still passed out, Becca looking after him."

"Heh right, should have expected something like this from him."

Then Maine took a long observant look at David.

'Ah shit, he figured it out again' David thought.

"There's something different about you, I can tell."

Maine said getting a bit closer to David.

"Don't know what you mean?"
David responded, turning his head a bit away from Maine.

"You got laid didn't ya?"

David didn't risponde.

'God damn it! How does he know!"

"You definitely did."

And as per last time the curtain to Kiwis Dive bathtub was opened, there she was, her and her two blue nipples, which David still was confused by.

"Sup, Kiwi? Gimmi some good news."

"Got zilch."

She answered Maines question as she walked to David and sat beside him.

"Tenaka beefed up his security after our last fuck up. Tried poking holes, but hot no-go after no-go."

"Like I was sayin'. Our weels be spinnin' until Faraday give us some traction."

David then spoke up.

"Tanaka huh?"

"Yeah, that a problem?"

"Nah, it's nothing."

Then David got an alert from Nano.

'It's Kiwi, Let her only access to the Arasaka academy files'

{Understood.}

"Well, lookie here. You and Tanaka's kid, classmates?"

"Say what? Kiwi, are you accusing our punk kid of goin' to some siff-ass corpo school?"

Maine said in a shocked tone of voice.

"Bona-fide Arasaka academy dropout. Straight A student no less."

"How's that choom, shock'n'awe? Well shit, that explains Gloria's always straped form EDs."

"You two ever heard of something called privacy?"

David said annoyed.
Yes let her access his files, but he was still annoyed.

"Didn't find anything else of interest on Tanakas personal drive. Lotta noise, Lotta trash."

"Noise like?"

David then remembered the experience that he had at J.K place, would not recommend.

"Hold up, that good leverage as is see it."

"Kinkster, no doubt. But more into gore than porn. Some cyberpsycho ventures too."

David that started talk.

"JK, stands for Jimmi Kurosaki. BD editor, fucker got a cult following. He gets a snuff and 24 hours later, boom you have a virtue."

"Well, I'll be damned kid. Didn't peg you for a superfreak."

David was still offended by Maines assumption of his being a superfreak.

"No! Just pushed them at school for extra EDs."

"Cute story. But you know something that'll actually be useful?"

"He mostly does custom-made."

"What's that?"

"Bug spenders expect exclusive, so JK tailors the dances special. Removing pain limiters and stuff."

"And we care why?"

Maine asked.

"For the turning Tanaka has to be there fiscally, and probably alone."

"Oh? How you figure?"

Kiwi asked.

"Would you bring your bodyguard to an XBD fetish tuning?"

"Gotta point."

"Getting pretty sharp, Dawg. No surprise though now that you're a man!"

"A man? What'd I miss?"

[TIME SKIP][SCENE CHANGE]

David was now in a different room, with him were Maine, Dorio, Kiwi atanding across from him and Lucy and Rebecca standing on either side of him, and if you're wondering out Pillar, he opted out, he said he was working on something.

"Faraday came through with a lead on Tanaka." M

Maine began to speak.

"Seems that our favorite suit occasionally ditches his hustle and usual ride for a Delamain."

"Going off-grid, huh?" Do

"But Delamains airtight. Can't hope for a lock on position or destination." M

"I did some digging on custom BDs. Mostly fat-cat buyers with deep pockets, corpo execs, celebs, gang bosses. JK studios' invisible. Referral only. If we want to k ow more we have to have a word with the man himself." K

"So? You find a way?" D

"Grab his skinny ass" M

"That'll be easy, found out he's got a reservation at Embers day after tomorrow. Table for one." K

"Pretty damn sad that." Do

"With all his cash you'd think he could keep an output." R

"And once he's all done, we invite Herr for a night cap. Let's move."

We see Kurosaki walked down some stairs exiting a building, on the side behind the corner was Lucy.
