17. Ripperdoc

We were running down the building stairs, Dorio carrying Mane me, and Lucy behind them, and Trauma Team closing in, after a few minutes I heard an explosion coming from upstairs, then shouting and rapid footsteps,

we increased our pace as we rushed outside, I saw a car parked close by I ran to it placed a hand on it and my eyes glowed for a second.

[Doors opened]

The doors swung open I called for the others, and we all climbed in the car.

"Where?"

I asked Dorio as she placed Mane down on the back seat.

"sending coordinates"

with that, I began driving down the streets of Nightcity, the trauma team ship passed us overhead, and after some I made it to the destination we pulled up into an allyway, and I helped Dorio with Mane.

MISTY'S ESOTERICA

"you sure this iis the place?"

Lucy asked turnig to Dorio as did as well.

"yeah this the place:"

We enter the shop and see a girl sitting at a small counter.

"welcome to my Esoterica, woul-"

"We need Vik its urgent."

Dorio interrupted her, she looked a bit disappointed the her eyes glowed fore a second before she spoke.

"He will see you know."

"David I'll stay here."

Said Lucy, I nodded. Then, Dorio and I made our way to the Ripper Doc, down some stairs, and we were met by a man seemingly from the Middle Ages.

"put him in the chair."

Dorio did so, Vik them went to examine him, i didn't pay much attention a Vik as i was more concerned about how trauma team got ahold of our location they were supposed to be in jammer that blocked Tanaka's trauma chip.

"full body shut down . ."

I heard the Ripper murmur and he kept on examining Mane, Dorio stood there looking at him with more and more toward face.

"so how is he?"

the Ripper doc looked away from Maine as he sat up on the chair turning his full body to face Dorio

"well it looks like the beginning stages of cyber psychosis, but it it was managed to be stopped by other full body shut down which I'm assuming with the way you're looking at me it was you."

the Ripper doc then turned his head to me for a split second then turned back to face Dorio

"things to the kids full body shut down the damage from the beginning stages can be a reversal and managed but if main continues to use combat implants his brain will start to deteriorate ."

Darius seemed relieved by the first part of the news but then the bit shocked by the second part, 9:00 on the other hand was not I had experienced cyber psychosis before and I knew how easy it was for you to fall back in, the Ripper continues.

"with the removal of all combat implants and with daily doses of immunosuppressants I can guarantee that main will be able to remain sane but even if one combat implant is chipped his brain will deteriorate and he will become a cyber psycho."

for a split second Dorio seemed conflicted but after taking a look at main on the chair she turned back to the Ripper.

"take it all out then"

"Maine has had a lot of limbs replaced with combat implants those will have to be replaced with normal prosthetics I can have them shipped here tonight but it will cost a pretty Eddie"

"it doesn't matter do whatever it takes."

with a sigh of relief want to walk to the door with a pat on the back to Dorian I made my way up the stairs and into the esoterica, now there was another man talking with the woman who I assume is misty, Lucy was sat on the chair a bit away from them my beautiful loner.

I passed misty and made my way to Lucy she quickly stood up and wrapped her hands around my neck there was a bit shorter than her without all my implants I admit I blushed a bit, though a lot more after she kissed me in front of them.

"ah oung love"

"come on Jackie we're not old"

I turned to look at them as the man was now facing us.

"I'm Jackie Wells nice to meet ya choom"

"David Martinez nice to meet you too choom"

he extends his hand in a fist bump which I match.

"Misty told me that you came here for a friend don't worry he's in good hands Vik is the best."

"yeah he already examined him he said he will be fine, it's my first time coming here so I'll be the judge myself."

the conversation went on for a while this jerky guy seems alright he's funny well some of the time though some other times she makes some of the most stupid jokes that not even a monkey can laugh at, after a while though me and Lucy left.

I dumped the car that I stole in a random alleyway and called my actual car which now that I think about it why in the hell didn't I do that in the first place, on the drive Lucy seemed quiet more quiet than usual anyway, she was working with Tanaka she must have done something wrong to cause the jammer to break and for the trauma trip to activate.

"Lucy what happened why did you let the trauma trip activate?"

my question out of nowhere seemed to start the but she quickly regained her composure and turned to face me.

"it was a simple slip up I'm sorry."

she's lying but why.

"no it wasn't you too good for that to happen so don't lie to me why did that happen."

"what are you talking about I told you this mistake'

"please Lucy don't lie to me just tell me the truth why"

I said as I held her face pulled her bit down to look at me in the eyes.

"please don't lie to me."

"here's the information about . . ."

she hesitated to continue.ù

"about what if it hurts you so much tell me I can help."

"it was about you."

the security cameras at the Arasaka Academy perfect.

"they had a video of you using the SANDEVISTAN and other plans about you using and testing their other experimental implant defeat they're planning to kidnap you and use you as lab rat"

she said her voice growing more and more concerned I pulled her in close we kissed her forehead.

"don't worry whatever they bring in us we'll be able to face them together and promise I won't go anywhere, I did say I was going to take you to the moon right?"

"David . . ."

"me and you we'll get out of this shithole and we'll go on to the moon I don't know I'll be free:"

it's been a while hasn't it? surprise surprise and new update to this much beloved story honestly I was bored so I just thought why not and wrote a new chapter.
