Chapter 7

Rydel's Point Of View:
Yesterday was so much fun, me just hangin with the fam but today it's time to hang with my friends. Its about 7:00 in the morning when Hailey walks into my/our room. "Mommy I have a pwesent for you." she says excitedly.

I nod and she motions for me to follow her. "Cover your eyes." she tells me after pulling me downstairs. I cover my eyes as my daughter pulls me into another room. She sits me down in which I'm guessing is a chair in the kitchen. The sound of the fridge opening fills my ears. "Ok mommy open your eyes." she says. I open my eyes and I can no longer speak.

There sitting in front of me on the table is a cake that says I L❤️VE my mommy cake and is pink with smiley faces on it. "Baby I love it!" I say hugging her. She hugs me and then I try to stand up but she doesn't let go. "Sweetheart there is nothing more that I would want than to be with you, but my friends will be here soon and we were going to have a sleepover." I say bending down to her level.

"I wanted to hang out with mommy today, but I guess if you want to hang out with your friends instead of your own daughter than I guess i'll just go hang out with daddy!" she screams at me and she runs upstairs, probably to Riker's room.

I sighed and sat down at the kitchen table staring at my new cake. She probably hates me now. I didn't mean to hurt her it's just that I had already made these plans last week. The doorbell rang so I got up to answer it. Standing on my doorstep were my 4 best friends. Makenna,Kylie,Savannah, and Alexa. I invited them in and we all went up to my bedroom. As soon as I walked in I heard crying. I knew that crying anywhere. I walked over to the closet and opened the door. There sat my little angle crying. and it was all because of me.

"Hailey... honey, I hate seeing you cry.It just breaks my heart."I said trying to hide my own tears.

"No your lying! You hate me and you never loved me!" she yells completely shattering my heart. She runs into what I'm guessing is Riker's room.

Riker's Point Of View:
"No your lying! You hate me and you never loved me!" I hear Hailey yell. Right after she runs into my room. I open my arms and she runs straight into them bawling her eyes out. "Hailey sweetheart what's wrong?" I ask her getting concered. "Rydel never loved me! She hates me and I hate her!" She yells loud enough probably so that she could hear.

"Hailey Sophia Lynch! Don't you dare say that you hate your mother!" I say sternly

"But its true, she thinks that I forgot about her what about me?! huh? what do i get? I get rejected by my own mom so she can hang out with her friends! and is that my fault no!" She yells crying into my chest. "Sweetheart your right, but that isnt any reason to hate your mother. Look how about you and I hang out, and if you want we can invite Ellington to come with us?" I asked her hopeful she'd agree before she throws a tantrum. She nods her head and cuddles into my neck. I get up with her in my arms and walked to Rydel's room. I opened the door and walked inside grabbing Hailey's clothes for the day and taking her back into my room.

"Hailey sweetheart I'm going to go talk to Rydel,while you talk to Ellington on the phone ok?" She nods while I go to talk to my little sister. I walk into her room and see that she has been crying. "Delly whats wrong?" I ask already knowing the answer, but I wanted to see how far it would go.

Meanwhile:
Hailey's Point Of View:
After daddy left I got on the phone and called my Uncle Ellington. He picked up after a few rings.

(Phone call: Ellington- E, Hailey-H)
E-Hello?

H-Hi Uncle Ellington!

E- Hey Hailey. How are you?

H- Pretty good I guess. Daddy and I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out with us today?

E- I thought that you were going to hang out with Rydel today.

H- Ya well she decided to hang out with her friends instead of me.

E- Hailey I'm sure she didn't mean to hurt you. You know she loves you and doesn't want to hurt you.

H- Well she did and now I'm going to hang out with daddy do you want to come?

E- Sure tell your dad that I'll be there in like 15 minutes.

H- Ok bye love you!

E- Love You too munchkin.

I hung up and started to go find daddy. I walked past mine and Rydel's room. " Riker she hates and never wants to talk to me again. I should have just cancelled this sleepover and made it for tomorrow." Rydel sobs.

"Rydel you have to be able to have time by yourself too. She's going to hate you, she's going to hate all of us at one point but she's going to get over it." Riker says hugging Rydel. I started to cry as I sat there and watched my mom cry. Why do I hate her for something she had already planned for the past week.

I was interrupted from my thoughts as Riker sitting down next to me and pulling me into his lap. "Baby girl? why are you crying?" He asks hugging me.

"I-I s-a-aw mom-mmy c-c-crying and I'm the o-o-one that caused it." I cried into his shoulder. "Aww sweetheart it's ok she's just upset because she said that you hate her." He says rubbing my back. "Would you like to go see mommy?" He asks me a few minutes later. I nod and whisper "Alone pwease." He nods and walks back into Rydel's room. Soon after all of her friends walk out and go downstairs. Daddy walks out and motions me inside. I walk inside and sit on mommy's bed.

Rydel looked at me with tear stained cheeks. I immediately hugged her and said " I'm so sorry mommy I was just mad because I wanted to spend the day with you." She nods and hugs me. "Sweetheart its ok, I'm sorry that I wasn't able to hang out with you today but I promise that tomorrow we will spend the whole day together ok?" she asks. I nod and sit up.

"Awww isn't that sweet, you two made up!" someone says behind us.

"Uncle Ellington!" I scream running up to him and hugging his legs. "Hey munchkin." He laughs. "Well its getting kinda late so why don't we all just hang out here?" Riker asks walking into the room.

I run into my closet and grab my swim suit, then before anyone can see what I have I run into the bathroom and change. While I'm running downstairs I hear yelling behind me. "HAILEY!" but I just keep on running.

I run outside and jump into the pool. A few seconds later everyone else in the house had their swimsuits on and had jumped into the pool. We swam for a few hours and even had a trick contest (which Ross won by the way... Just Like the one in R5 TV).

Now we are sitting inside by the fire and just watching movies and home videos. It was like I was playing musical chairs because after each video I would move to a new person. After a while of moving and many movies, I finally fell asleep in mommy's arms.

A/N: In the next chapter I am going to skip a couple months (since right now it's about January in this book) to Hailey's birthday (which is also mine) thats in April. On Hailey's birthday she will be turning 5. Hope you guys like this book and this chapter... I'm really enjoying it.
