Chapter 15: Rydel or Laura?

*when they left the hospital*

"Rydel Mary Lynch! Quit complaining right now or I will ground you for 2 weeks!" I yell over Rydel's whining. Right now we are driving back home from the hospital and Rydel was mad because we tricked her into leaving.

I look in the mirror as I see her start to pout. I know she loves Hailey but her and Riker need to talk. As we pulled into the driveway Rydel's phone wrung.

"Hello?" She said into the phone.

I walked up to the front door to let everyone else in then I walked back out to Rydel. She looked worried and afraid. I rushed over to her as quickly as I could and dragged her inside because of all the rain.

"Sweetheart! What happened!?!? Is everything alright?" I asked her my voice growing with worry after every word. As she turned her face to look at me I saw her eyes filled with tears. Not just any tears. Happy tears, tears of pure joy. I repeated my question once more and this time she responded.

"She picked me mom. She wants me to be her mom! I'm so happy. I'm going to go to the store! There is something I HAVE to get." She yelled running out the door. I just shook my head and laughed, walking to the kitchen.

Rydel's POV:

Once I ran out of the house I jumped in my car and drove to my old pals house. Once I got there I knocked on the door and when they answered I got so happy.

"Hi!!" I yell excitedly. Once I fully came in and sat down I immediately started talking again.

"I need your guy's help with something very special."

Riker's POV:

Today is the day that Hailey gets to leave the hospital and I'm super excited cause it's just going to be a me and her day. We are going to just go around all day and just be a father and daughter. Speaking of my angel, she's waking up now. I let her sleep till 10 because she didn't sleep much last night.

"Hey Princess!" I say softly, smiling as she sits up and yawns.

"Hi Daddy." She answers back.

"I thought that today we could just have a me and you day... We haven't been able to do that in while so what do you say? Hang out for the day with your cool dad?" I say chuckling at the end. Hailey just giggles and nods.

"Okay well let's get you out of here and then we can go home and get ready yeah?" She nods. Once Hailey is in the bathroom I grab my phone and start a group text with my whole family.

(Ri-Riker, D-Rydel, Ry-Ryland, Ro-Rocky, R- Ross, M-Stormie, D-Mark)

Ri- "Hey today Hailey can leave the hospital. So I told her that it would be a me and her kinda day. I really just wanted to be with my daughter."

D- " But I have a surprise for her that I was planning on doing today!"

Ri- "Look Rydel I'm sorry but I already have plans. We were going to come home and then get ready but then we were just going to leave."

M- "Riker honey, why don't you just wait until tomorrow to do it? It's Saturday and you can hang out with Hailey all day long. Plus I really think that Hailey is going to like this surprise..."

Ry- "Yeah bro. Today can be a boys day. You can leave Hailey here with mom and Delly and then all of us can go out. What do you say?"

Ro & R- "Yeah man cmon we haven't gone out ever since you adopted Hailey! Let's go out tonight."

D & M- "Yeah Riker, we can take care of Hailey and you can go out with your brothers. Plus I am her mom ( she said it)"

Ri- "UGH FINE! All I wanted to do was hang out with my daughter but yeah I guess we can go out tonight."

I say before shutting my phone off. Finally looking up I notice that Hailey is all packed up and standing by my leg.

"Cmon Daddy!" She yells running out of the room.

"Hailey honey please don't run come and hold my hand sweetheart." I say sternly fast walking towards her.

As we are driving home I smile looking at my daughter sleeping in the back seat. To think that almost a year ago I wasn't a father. I didn't know I'd be starting a family at 24 years old. Soon I'm going to have to tell her that are going to be going on tour soon. This tour is only a U.S tour but its still a lot. I will probably just tell her tomorrow when we have our day...

Anyways we are here and she is waking up. As I parked and took Hailey out of her car seat and walk up to the door I notice another car in the driveway.

Once I walk in the door I see the last person that I ever expected to see. I cover my daughters ears as I speak through gritted teeth.

"What the hell are you doing here? In my house!" I yell through gritted teeth.

A/N: So I know that it's been literally SOOOO long since I've updated but for some reason I just had a really huge spurce of ideas! Like I've never had so many ideas in my head for this book before. Let's do some questions:

Q: Who do you think Rydel went to talk to?

Q: Who do you think Riker found in the house? (You probably won't be able to guess it cause it's going to be a new character but he's famous...)

Anyways! I hope you guys like this chapter. I know that it was sort of rushed and probably not very good but I had to update for you guys.
