Chapter 10: Part 2

"We have done everything we can..." he said as I dropped to the floor crying. That's my little girl! How could this happ- "Umm sir you didn't let me finish. Your daughter has broken her right arm and right leg. Meaning that she will have to have a cast on her arm and she will need to be in a wheelchair for a little while. You can go see her in a few minutes after you are done signing all the papers for her discharge." he explained walking over to the desk to get the papers.

After I was finished signing them I figured out what room she was in and raced to it. As soon as I opened the door I almost started crying tears of joy.

There on the hospital bed was my little girl sitting up and watching sponge bob. I chuckled and she looked at me. "Daddy!!" She yelled excitedly.

"Hi sweetheart!"

"Daddy I'm scared."

"It's ok sweetheart your just at the doctors and you have to get a thing on your arm that will help it get better, then you get to sit in this special chair where you can't stand up or it will hurt a lot." I tried explaining it to her easy to calm her down.

"And don't worry princess you will be able to leave today and we are still going to have your birthday party, I have a surprise for you and I know your going to love it!." I tried cheering her up.

"Daddy will you come lay with me?" She asked with what looked like was on the verge of tears.

"Awww sweetheart don't cry. Of course I'll come lay with you!"

Stormie's Point Of View:
Riker's been in there for a long time now. I wonder why. I walked up to the front desk and asked what room my granddaughter was in and hurried there.

Once I got there I opened the door and saw the cutest thing. Riker was laying on the bed with Hailey while they were both sleeping. I went over and woke up Riker so we could all go home and he could take a nap there if he wanted to.

We had to get Hailey's arm casted with the color purple since that's her favorite color, and then we had to get Hailey's wheelchair.

*When They Get Home*

Riker's Point Of View:
Once we got home I had to get Hailey's wheelchair out of the car while she waited patiently for me to get her out. She doesn't know it just yet but I also texted my mom to get the surprise birthday party ready for when she walks in, I don't want her birthday to be totally bad.

I grabbed Hailey and put her in her wheelchair. I started to push her since she only has one arm right now. I unlocked the door and all the lights were off so I turned them on and got ready for the yelling, but nothing happened.

So I went out to the backyard and everyone screamed SURPRISE!!! And it almost made me jump.

Hailey's Point Of View:
After everyone yelled surprise my surprise birthday started and everyone wanted to come up and hug me. All of my family wanted to sign my cast, but when they were all done I was confused cause there was one big open space left.

"Why'd you guys leave so much room on my cast?" I asked them at the picnic table where we had hotdogs,hamburgers,chips,and dip.

"Well because there is someone else here that wants to sign your cast." Daddy said behind me. I turned around and he said "Happy Birthday baby!" Then he moved out of the way from the crowd and you'll never believe who was there...
