"I'm... Being released already?"
Xena blinked her eyelids rapidly, confused.

"Yes," her doctor smiled down at her.
"You've made a very speedy recovery, and honestly there's not much else we can do for you. The rest of your injuries will heal easily on their own."

Roxas smiled sweetly when Xena glanced at him, and so did Sora, who was seated next to him.

"You're a very lucky girl," The doctor continued, looking briefly over Xena's medical chart again.

"Not many people bounce back so easily from things like this, or have so many smiling faces by their side during it all." Turning to Roxas and Sora, she gave a slight smile and nod.

You call this 'lucky'?

"Keep taking it easy back at home, considering you will still be pretty weak. We'll be sending you with a script of pain killers for your ankle, so be sure to take them on time, keep applying ice to it regularly and try not to put too much pressure on it for the next few weeks. Sound good?"

Xena nodded once her doctor finished her explanation, her heart thudding a little harder against her rib cage.

Home..? Do i even have a home anymore?

At that, the doctor wrote the script for the pain killers, and said a nurse would be in shortly with a wheelchair to take Xena downstairs to the front of the building.

"I text Riku and he's gonna bring the car around." Sora said, visibly excited.

By now, Roxas was by Xena's side, and he took hold of one of her arms to help her up.

The nurse came in with the wheelchair, and Roxas helped Xena into it.

Together, Sora, Roxas, Xena and the King all went down the elevator and outside where Riku and Kairi were waiting with the car.

They both smiled brightly at Xena, and the 3 exchanged hellos and hugs.

"We've already moved everyone else back into the base," Riku stated once everyone was in the car, on their way to the new base.

"Good job," The King smiled, then looked to Xena.

"Once you recover a bit more, we'll start your training- if that's alright with you, of course."

"Yes, please." Xena nodded.

Maybe there's hope for me yet.

Xena felt a warm hand slide on top of her's.

Roxas was seated next to her, so it's obvious who it belonged to. She felt her face flush, and she looked casually out the window in an attempt to keep anyone from noticing it as she laced her fingers between Roxas'. His thumb gently glided back and forth along the top of her hand. Smiling like an idiot, she continued looking out the window, taking in all the beauty scenery as she drove to her new home with her old friends.
