Lightning Princess

I woke up on the floor with Cupa asleep on my chest. I looked around and saw almost the entire village passed out on the floor around us.

I poked Cupa in the cheek to wake her up. "Let's go train," I whispered to her. Somehow we made it outside without waking anyone up. Although, they all came looking for us after a couple hours of training. We exchanged greetings and took a break for lunch. After that we went on a walk alone.

"So. What do you want to talk about?" I asked awkwardly.

"How abou-" she was cut off by someone grabbing her from behind and pulling her away from me. Before I could even react, something exploded behind me and the shockwave sent my flying into a tree. As my vision faded to black the only thing I could see was Cupa screaming my name, as she was drug off.

I woke up to an unfamiliar ceiling. "Where am I?" I asked grabbing my throbbing head.

"You're back in the town," an old man said walking into the room. "I saw you unconscious under a tree and brought you back here."

"Where's Cupa!?" I asked sitting up quickly.

"The royal guard took her. The creeper leaders wanted her back. They're going to try and turn her into a supercharged creeper. She was chosen for this when she was younger, but her parents died trying to hide her from them. She'll be worshipped like a god to them," the old man explained.

"Where's the castle?" I asked standing up.

"Head straight North from here and you will find it," he answered.

"You're not going to stop me?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"No. Go get her back. We're all counting on you," he said somberly.

It took me thirty minutes to find the castle. Since they attacked me, I don't think they will just let me walk in. I pulled back my bow and shot a barrage of explosive arrows at the gate. The second the arrows made contact with the gate, I rushed in and entered into the castle taking out anything in my path. I could see the clouds starting to accumulate around the castle and began to darken.

"I need to hurry!" I said to myself. I ran through the hallways of the castle taking out enemies as I went until I reached a pair of important looking doors. I exploded the doors of their hinges and ran in to find Cupa chained up under an open ceiling. She was surrounded by priests and guards.

"Cupa!" I yelled taking out the enemies in my way. That's when a bolt of lightning struck her and the entire room was filled with smoke.
