Emily's POV:We went to the library in New Napal after we researched all we could at the fort. We were at a loss about where to go, when we found a book behind a stack of books in the library.
"It's titled 'Secrets of the Brines'," I told Jeff. We sat down at one of the tables in the back of the library and started looking through the book. "It says that all brines have their own specific power that makes them unique. Along with their eyes glowing they have their own color and that they will only glow when their powers are being used," I explained.
"Then why are Herobrine's eyes constantly glowing?" Jeff asked.
"Because he is constantly using his powers" I answered. I flipped the page and my eyes widened. "I found a weakness!" I whisper yelled while looking around. "We need to go. Prepare a message bird."
We made it about fifty meters from the cities walls when we were attacked. The first thing that happened was Herobrine grabbing Jeff and starting the mutating ritual on him. I immediately sent out a message bird to Mike asking for help.
Mike's POV:
I felt a sensation I had never felt before. It was full of evil and pain. "He's already started turning him!" I yelled as they came into sight. When we arrived I took out the few mobs surrounding Emily. Right as this happened, the ritual ended and a mutated Jeff appeared before us.
"Jeff," I said trying to get his attention. "Snap out of it!"
"HAHAHAHA!" Herobrine laughed. "He's completely under my control now! Jeff attack them!" He ordered before he disappeared.
"Andr! Teleport Emily home and prep the medical equipment. I'm bringing him back," I said before turning to Jeff. He now had longer hair and it was completely white. His eyes had turned to a glowing white showing he was under Herobrine's control. His body build changed as well. He now looked older and stronger.
"Alright. Just don't hurt him too badly," Emily said before they teleported away.
"Alright Jeff. Let's go home," I said sheathing my swords. He now had a crossbow attached to his hand and he was taking aim at my head. He was at a decent distance so this was going to be a little bit difficult. I side dashed trying to keep his aim a tad bit behind me. I ducked barely missing the arrows aimed at my head. Ok, I need to go faster if I want to get close to him. I stopped immediately and rushed forward at an angle in the opposite direction, trying to zig-zag my way to him. Barely dodging his arrows at my speed, meant that he has gotten a lot stronger due to the mutation.
When I got close to him I immediately grabbed his arms to stop him from attacking and then I head-butted him. I was able to knock him out without dealing to much damage. "Ok. Now to get you home," I said picking him up in my arms.
Josh's POV:
Ashley, Mason, and Ruby arrived back at the fort a few minutes ago and they all looked a lot stronger. I guess their training was successful. "Hey guys how's it going?" I asked them as they walked up.
"Pretty good. These kids are extremely talented," Ashley answered. "Hey has anyone seen Anthony?" She asked. Right then I heard a loud roar come from the sky as an Enderdragon came down and landed next to her. "Never mind," she stated.
Just then Andr and Emily teleported into the fort. "Hey long time no see," I greeted to them.
"Not now! Mike is currently trying to save Jeff after he was mutated by Herobrine! We need to prepare for his possible worst condition!" Emily yelled running to her house.
"What's all the fuss?" Steve asked walking in to the fort with Cupa and, a child?
"Herobrine turned Jeff into a mutant skeleton and Mike is bringing him here. We need to get ready!" I answered. I'll ask them later about the child and Cupa's hair color.
Just then a small gust of wind appeared in front of me. Mike had landed there carrying an unconscious Jeff in his arms. He had blood on his face and his eyes were glowing brightly.
"Let's get him to Emily," he stated.
Mike's POV:
I laid him down on the operating table in Emily's house. "Is there anything I can do to help him?" I asked impatiently.
"I don't know. I've got the slightest clue on how to undo Herobrine's hold on him," she said gravely. "We need to disrupt the power flow in his body, but I cannot do that."
I thought for a second. One of the things I trained on was how to control the energy in my body from being a brine. I've never tried it in this fashion, but it's worth a shot. "I got this," I said putting my hand on his chest. I focused on channeling the energy into my hand and then I tried to add it to him to disrupt the flow. Ok. 3. 2. 1. I pulsed my energy into him causing a bright flash of energy. I removed my hand after sensing whether or not if there was any more of Herobrine's power inside of him.
"That's all I can do. He'll be fine. All he should feel when he wakes up is a headache," I said walking out of the room. When I got outside, everyone was waiting. I just nodded and everyone cheered.
A few hours later:
"Alright. What did you guys learn that would make him come after you?" I asked Emily and the now awake Jeff. We all had discussed what happened to us while we were gone and we all were caught up to speed.
"We found a weakness. Sort of," she said hesitantly.
"What do you mean sort of?" Josh asked.
"Well, Mike would be the only one to be able to use it and I don't know its whereabouts. There is a pair of swords in a spiders nest somewhere in the middle of the Earth. A flame sword, Pyro the King of Flames, and an ice sword, Sub Zero. They are guarded by the two spider kings of fire and ice. The map said you get to the beginning of their lair by going through a ravine and an abandoned mineshaft. You will find a wall blocking off the entrance with a door," she explained.
"I know where that is," I stated blandly. Everyone's eyes swiveled to me. "It's back at the place we first appeared at in this world. We went down into a ravine and a mineshaft. We stopped at a walled off area with a door and sign saying 'Danger! Spider's din ahead!' We stopped and headed back because we were low on supplies."
"Alright we have a chance!" Steve exclaimed happily. Just then the sound of a giant explosion and walls breaking was heard right outside the house.
