"Unity."

There was this... ringing in my ear, I barely heard my name being called and even then, it was muffled.

"Unity! Get up!" The person growled. I felt a kick on the underside of my foot causing me to jerk awake in surprise and groan.

Everything was blurry, but I tried to focus my gaze on the person who called me first, which I now recognize as Onyx in front of me, tied up. I tried to stand but found myself unable to as I'm bound to a post, my wrists tied with ropes behind me.

A moment of clarity graced my mind when I saw not only Onyx but also Quartz in front of me. "You let your emotions get the best of you this time."

"What were we supposed to do? Let them take you? For fuck's sake, Unity!"

It didn't help that my head hurt like a bitch when Onyx decided to shout at me.

"What's fucking wrong with you?! You don't shout at a woman, especially our Unity!" It was Quartz's turn to kick his twin brother on the shin, causing him to immediately regret his words.

"It's fine guys. Just..." I needed to clear my head, and the twins knew this too as they kept quiet, or maybe they were just lost in their thoughts. Either way, they gave me the silence that I needed to think.

I looked around my surroundings and saw that we were in some sort of a cellar, under a church, nonetheless. And it's also nighttime. How long was I out for? And what the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is this?

Three of us were tied to posts, separated from each other. I guess to prevent us from helping each other undo our ropes. I'm lucky that my ropes are somewhat loose, maybe thinking that I'm no threat. I dislocated my thumbs to make room for my wrists to go through them, my recovering shoulder aching to dullness as I squirmed, effectively letting my hands break free.

I stood up, to the surprise of the twins.

"What the fuck?"

"Shh!" I shushed them, relocating my thumbs in front of them to their disgust.

"What the hell? I didn't know you could do that!" Quartz whisper-shouted at me while Onyx just shook his head at his brother's antics.

I wasted no time and slid my tongue at the back of my teeth, revealing the small blade hidden within my mouth. This is what I meant when I said we were armed to the teeth.

"Holy fuck, that's hot." I held the small blade in my teeth as I went behind them, using it to cut their ropes. Just when I helped them stand up, chaos was heard upstairs.

Many people were running away, screaming their fucking lungs out while the groans and war cries of zombies were heard.

Okay, now I really think we're in a fucking PPZ shit.

A set of hurried footsteps were coming towards us, and I readied myself in front of the twins as the footsteps were getting nearer to our location.

Alas, it arrived. But it wasn't a zombie. Instead, it was a girl- no, a woman.

A woman no older than I am.

"Oh. Well, that took a ton of time out of my hands." She brought out her lock picker and unlocked the padlock, "5 minutes, to be precise. Let's go." There's a sense of urgency in her tone as she opened the gate for us to pass through.

We were beyond confused.

As we were running upstairs and towards the surface, I ask her. "Who are you?"

"That's not important," she said, making us crawl slowly now that we're inside the church's main building. It was littered with newly transformed zombies now, making them quick and agile and their eyes not decaying yet, meaning, they can still see us.
