I'm done talking to Agent Snipe, I go to Seni to see how she's doing. She is with Kadie communicating with her at the kitchen table. I wonder what they are talking about.
"Seni, it's so good to see you again!" I excitedly tell her, giving her the warmest hug, I've given to anyone.
"It's so good to see you too. I'm surprised that you did not talk to me first, since you know... I'm your best friend." She said in a blithe way.
"I'm sorry. I was distracted by Agent Graves. Do you know why he returned because when I asked him, I felt like he wasn't telling the truth?" I ask, trying to find some sense of why he is back.
"Honestly, I do not know why he is back. After all the bad mouthing he said to you and the agency, I would love to chop him into next week." Seni replies, we both laughed. Kadie coughs, trying to get our attention.
"Seni, I'm still here." Kadie reminded her, crossing her arms and pouting like a fish.
"No vex" Seni acknowledged her, "I did not forget about, my dear. I'm just catching up with my best friend."
"It's rude interrupting a conversation and turning your back on someone." Kadie said.
"It is well. Let's all talk together. Plus, I wanted to know what you two were talking about." I had to break the tension and calm things down. Seni and I sit next to Kadie.
"Well, I was telling her about my love for wrestling." Kadie reveals, unfolded her arms and stopped scrunching her face. I should have known that was the conversation being had especially around my sister.
"What did you tell her?" I ask.
"Kadie told me she is training to become the best African female wrestler in the world. I find that beautiful and inspirational. I love seeing African women thriving for success. It reminds me of Dawn and I." Seni said.
"How so?" I question what she meant by that.
"We're both African women succeeding in the spy world, which is mostly male dominated. Isn't that beautiful?" Seni asks.
I do agree that is a beautiful thing, but it's not all sunshine and rainbows. Being an African female spy does have a lot of challenges. I had to perform twice as hard as my male spies. Not everyone associates African women as spies or take them seriously as threats. There are still harmful stereotypes of them being lazy, crazy, sexual, and not tough at all. Well, myself and all the African women I know are more than that.
Sex was never on my mind. I don't hate it or hate people who indulge themselves to it. But sex is a distraction and I'm not trying to live my life distracted. Yes, I'm still a virgin at the age of thirty-three. But I'm not stressing about the fact that I did not a man deflower me and I'm not in a rush to have sex.
There are some men I do find attractive. Agent Snipe is the sexiest man I've ever laid my eyes on. I love how muscular he is and keeps himself in wonderful shape. His bald head and deep voice drive me wild. Knowing that he is fifty-three years of age, and he still looks better than most young men make me go weak in my knees. It takes a lot of confidence to run a spy agency. He is the best spy boss in the world as he is nice to everyone, while keeping a high standard for each person to follow.
