We left the building and the police are dealing with the situation right now. Before they can drop me back at my apartment, we have to head back to our agency department. After each mission, we evaluate our gear, return damaged items, and report what went down.
Our agency is called the World of Agents (WOA). The building is far away from the city as it is secluded. It is not a skyscraper like almost every building in New York, but it is massive.
It is guarded heavily by a gate that covers the entire building. There are a lot of bodyguards with armors and guns protecting the outside and inside of the building. We have a nice garden with nicely cut grass every day, flowers that grow, and healthy trees.
We have our car garage filled with nothing but black cars. But Agent Snipe has a special parking spot to himself since he's the boss. Other agents with black cars have their agent names written on their assigned parking spots so that it won't be confusing.
Agent Snipe, Agent Seni, Agent Graves, and I get out of Snipe's car. Grabbing our gear, and closing the door behind us, and entered the building.
Inside the building, there are multiple rooms. Most of the rooms are for agents, both newer and upper-tier spies. Some of the rooms are for weapons and equipment. Downstairs is where we have our interrogation room and holding cells for criminals. We keep criminals there until the justice system is ready for them. In the basement is where we do our training and hire new agents to join the field.
Upstairs is where we are heading right now. This is where every agent must go after any mission. We report what happened during a mission, show the footage taped on our body cam, check up on our weapons and items, and see if our mental state is well.
I don't feel comfortable evaluating since I don't want to relive or talk about this mission anymore. But sadly, it's required for each agent to do or else that person gets fired.
Agent Advance is one of our evaluators, we have multiple members to speed up the process. But he is the best one of them all. He used to be a part of our missions, but he got severely attacked and almost died by a group of bad guys. He is wheelchaired bond since his legs got stomped so bad that he can't walk again. His left eye is cut out and he has to wear an eye patch. His face is filled with scars since those bad guys used knives to slash him.
Even though he went through so much torture and pain, he is still grateful for his life. He cares a lot about every agent and respects the spy business.
"I'm not alright. This mission took a lot out of me." I tell him.
"I'm sorry. Do you want to share why you feel this way?" He asks.
"Not really. But my body cam footage will reveal what happened and why I feel this way." I reply, handing him my body cam.
He turns on the television and connects my body cam to an HDMI cable. He fast forwards to the part when the confrontation between Julian and I happened. My entire soul is cringing as everyone is watching the worst moment of my life. Then, the moment where I shot Julian and died on the spot has now been witnessed by a lot of agents. I would not be surprised if they all hate my guts or look at me with disgust. I feel like crying again.
"Wow. I'm sorry you went through all that. But you shouldn't beat yourself over it, it wasn't your fau-" Agent Advance gets cuts off by me.
"I appreciate it and I don't mean to interrupt you, but is my evaluation over?" I ask.
"Yeah, it's over." He tells me.
I grab my gear bag and leave the office. Agent Snipe, Agent Seni, and Agent Graves follow me out.
"Do you want to go back home right now?" Agent Graves asks.
"Yes, I need time to myself," I respond.
"Do you need me to drive you back home?" Agent Snipe asks.
"No, it's alright. I will just Uber back home." I tell him.
"Before you leave, we need to let you know that you are the best. No one in this agency is angry about what happened during the mission. Julian pulled out his gun first and tried to shoot you. Take as much time as you need. Contact us if you need anything. We love you Dawn and never forget that!" Agent Seni says. They all hug me at the same time.
After some seconds of feeling their embrace, I let go of them and walk away. I appreciate the support, but I need time to myself and to get rid of this issue I'm facing. I need to go back home!
