Chapter 8: First day at work

Veer and Mishti entered his room.

V: hmm.. so this the new room.. 

M: Nice. neatly arranged..

V: hmm.. I prefer that.

V: you can unpack if you want. I will arrange the cupboard for you. 

M: ok I will get freshen up first.

V: will you join your job today only or tomorrow?

M: today only planning to..

V: Ok I will also go to my office today. You can manage on your own right? 

M: yeah yeah no issues..

They got freshen up.. took some rest and got ready for their respective offices (in their head though)

Veer reached office and went to his cabin and called Reyansh

R: seriously Veer.. you just got married 3 days back and you are here?

V: why are you so surprised? havenot I told you before?

R: yeah typical Veer Oberoi..

V: one and only.. anyway enough of my praise send me the file for our new client we have a meeting tomorrow right?

R: yes. important deal..

They discussed for a while and then Rey was leaving..

V: Rey what about your genius scientist. did she join?

M: she came but she had to go for those formalities and medical today. so you can meet her tomorrow only.

V: ok. cool

and he left..

Mishti's POV:

She entered the office.. though she was very confident but still new place, new people, new job everything was giving her butterflies in the stomach..

She went to the reception

M: Hi. I am Dr. Mishti Khanna. I was supposed to join here today as the new research scientist.

Rec: yes maam. Reyansh sir told you to send to his cabin once you arrive and she showed her the way..

She knocked and entered.

R: welcome to VR Dr. Khanna.. We are excited to have you here.

M: I am equally excited to start over here.

He took her to the place where the other scientists and people were there and introduced her to everyone.

M: Hi. I am Dr. Mishti Khanna. I am excited to work with you here

R: Anyway Dr. Khanna.. today you may not have any work , you can finish the formalities to be done.. it will take a bit time. Tomorrow we will have a meeting with the core technical team where you can understand in depth what we are exactly working here and you can give your insights too.. 

M: ok.

R: Our CEO may also join the meeting, so I can introduce you to him tomorrow itself. He is equally excited to have you on board.

M: ok. let me finish the formalities then . 

R: yes PS will help you with all those

M: ok and she went with him .

By the time she finished everything it was 6 PM in Singapore time...she was hell tired.

She went home and slept like that..

Veer too came back and found her sleeping without even changing her clothes...So he didnot wake her up.. changed in casuals and switched on the ac. and put the blanket on her..

She woke up after 2 h as she was hungry..

she went straight to the luggage bag and opened it and took chips and started eating..

V: if you are hungry, have dinner .. it is  right there.

M: I am too hungry..

V: so?

M: to go out now.. first I will eat this. anyway these are home made chips by your mom only ..want it?

V: no.. change and  come out.. I am hungry too..

He went out and she followed him.

V: From tomorrow tell the maid what to cook for you..today I said  based on mine..so eat that  only.

M: it's ok I am pretty cool with these food

V: still as a part of deal if it is better it should be of both of our choices right.. everything should be shared as you said.

Mishti smiled...and they finished dinner..

M: I am too exhausted so I am going to sleep now.. and in the right side.. goodnight.

V: ok. goodnight
