Chapter 21 : Stubborn

Next morning mishti woke up and found herself in his embrace. and was shocked ...she tried to get out but could not..

M: Veer

V: in sleepy tone. Mish let me sleep...dont disturb..it is so peaceful.and he pulled her closer.

Her eyes were wide open..

and veer realised what he said..and opened his eyes and saw her so close to him..and him holding her by her waist tightly

And both got up..and sat on the bed..Veer looked at her.

V: Mish.

M: umm I think we were too drunk..I will bring lime juice for both..

Veer nodded.

He tried to remember what talks they had but couldn't as the headache was too much.

She gave the juice

M: I am going for shower..

V; hmm..

She went inside and started the shower and he just remembered that he told mishti that he wont let anything hurt her ever . he is there as her family.and she is his family...

Mishti too remembered that veer said he married her just to avoid girls.. N he wants to protect her now..and the family thing

M(in mind): how could you be so vulnerable mishti to speak everything out infront of him..and still why I am not feeling I did anything wrong.. I am feeling light.. so many emotions.. I hate this emotional jargons.. arghh... why cant things be normal as they are..

She came out.

Veer wanted to talk..

V: Mishti

M: veer we are late for office get ready.. I will pack the breakfast..

They left for office..and reached ..mishti was not giving him a chance to talk...

He entered his cabin irritated..and Rey followed him..

R: where were you yesterday..?

V: I was drunk so I left..

R: dr. Khanna also I could not find in the party

V: ask her..may be she will be interested in talking to you atleast..he smirked

R: what happened veer..?

V: what?? nothing..

R: why are you pissed off?

V: nothing happened Rey. Noone can control my mood you know

R: may I ask you something..

Veer looked at him..

R: is there anything going on between you and dr. Khanna..?

V: no..

R: I observed you for years..so I felt you have a very dufferent equation with her.. You are just so open to her...and I saw her depending on you so asked..

V: nothing..and you think she depends on me?

R:not depends..may be attached and trust you a lot.

V: you think so?

R:hm. thats why I am worried

V: for her? he raised eyebrow

R: she shouldnt get hurt expecting a lot from you.. athough she knows you are married.. still she shouldnt get attached too much that will hurt her in the end..

V: right..he was again pissed

R: anyway what about your married life..still you feel marriage is a deal? Dont you love her?
Veer was already pissed as mishti was not talking..then reyaansh bombarding with marriage life, mishti. he just blasted .

V: what you wanna know rey..my marriage.. yes it is the deal I signed.. I still believe marriage is just a deal.. With terms and conditions with no love and no emotions.. and no expectations from each other.. happy.. that's what you wanted to hear...right..?

The moment he saw Mishti at his doorstep he regretted what he said after seeing the hurt in her eyes.. The girl whom yesterday he told her family and promised to protect her was getting hurt by his words and actions.. he so wanted to talk.. but mishti was about to leave..

V: mishti..stop

Rey looked at her..

R: hi dr khanna any urgent work..?

M: no I just needed few signatures of both of you so came.. but I feel you both are busy.. sorry to intervene ..i didnot mean to hear your personal talks.. I dont have rights..sorry..

V: mishti..

She looked away..

M: it was urgent.so.

R: its ok come in and take the sign.. she went to Veer.. who signed looking at her.. and his continuous staring was making her weak.

M: you should never sign any document without reading.. what is wrong with you. First read then sign.. Mr. Oberoi..just a request..

V: I trust you.

She looked into his eyes.. which was saying all truth but still she was not ready to get hurt again.. she took the paper and gave it to Rey..read and sign.please.

He read and signed it.

R: i too trust you Dr. Khanna

M: thanks..

Veer was angry seeing her saying thanks to Rey and showing coldness to him.

R: where were you yesterday ? I could not find you at the party..

She looked at Veer who was looking at her .and they remembered the night spent together..

M: I had some urgent personal work so I left....now I will take your leave if you don't mind..

V: I need to talk to you..

M: I need to submit this now sir...

V: Mishti from the fucking morning Ii am trying to say something.. can you please listen to me once, he shouted

Mishti looked at veer and rey and then at veer again..

M: let me finish my job.. I know you are very professional about your deals..so dont waste your emotions sir.. stop trying so hard then.. not worth your time and emotion.. And she left making him angry..

V: arghhh..stubborn.. He punched the table with his fist..

R: veer is everything fine .?

V: Rey can we talk later..I have work..and I am piseed off too..I dont wanna vent it at wrong places..

R: hmm and he left
