25. Nerf or Nothing

3rd Person Omniscient POV

"WHAT THE FUCK?!" Sapnap screeches as the two of them immediately break apart, both red in the face.

"Sapnap!" Dream pushes his hair out of his face, his cheeks burning. "What—"

"I can hear the music all the way upstairs! And your annoying voices yelling!"

"We were singing!" Dream protests as Y/N goes to unplug the Wii. "And your walls should be soundproof!"

"Still!" Sapnap grumbles as he folds his arms scanning the room. "Anyways."

He jumps the last step of the stairs and bounds over to Y/N, pulling her into a crushing hug that has a faint smell of cologne.

"Lovely to finally see you Y/N," he smiles as he wraps her arms around him in return. She's much closer to his height than Dream but he still has to bend down, but just slightly.

"Wow, you switched up fast," Dream mutters as Sapnap pulls away from the hug, a smile replacing his scowl.

"And congratulations on being the third person to see Dream's face!"

"Wait third?" Y/N turns to Dream, her eyes wide and he just laughs and pats her on the head.

"Yep, Alyssa, a good friend of ours. And Sapnap," he pats Sapnap on the head too which makes the Texan swat at his hand.

"Wow before George? The fans aren't going to be happy," Y/N laughs. "I always imagined you and George kissing when you meet up."

"Haha," Dreams land over and wraps his arms around Y/N from behind. He leans down to rest his head on her shoulder. "They can ship us all they want. I love George like a brother. And in terms of sexuality, I'm not sure if I'm bi. But..."

He puts his lips close to her ear and kisses her cheek. "I know I'm in love with you."

Y/N's cheeks flush as butterflies swarm in her stomach. Her hands reach up to latch onto his, gently tracing the grooves of his knuckles.

"Great, I'm still the third wheel. Except this time, it's you and Y/N instead of you and George."

"Oh shut it Sapnap," Dream laughs as he unwraps his arms from Y/N. "And speaking of fans, should we tell them?"

"Tell them?" Y/N looks up at him with a questioning look.

"Tell them we're dating." He searches her face for any emotion that might give away her response but her face is set in a mixture of confusion, contemplation, and worry.

"I mean, how do you think they'll react?" she asks softly. "I mean, aren't you supposed to be madly in love with George?"

Dream grows quiet as he wonders how the fans will react to him actually being in love with someone else.

"Dream she has a point," Sapnap chimes in. "The true fans will be happy for you to be in love with whoever but the others might take out their anger on Y/N. And they'll probably be mad that she saw your face before George since that's the whole reason he's getting a visa instead of just visiting."

"Dream," Dream feels Y/N's pinky hook onto his.

"No," Dream squeezes his finger around hers and quickly let's go. "We won't tell them. It's too soon."
