Amanda got released a few hours later. She kept getting sick, so they gave her some medicine via her IV and had her rest while it finished. Olivia sat beside her the entire time, her hand gently smoothing Amanda's blonde locks or a stray tear that slipped down her cheeks.
"Thanks for driving me home," Amanda yawned, as she sat in the passenger seat and rested her head against the cool window.
"Of course, Rollins," Olivia replied. She glanced over at her detective and frowned when she saw how pale she was. Olivia was worried if Amanda would be able to take care of herself while she was on medical leave.
"Why are we stopping?" Amanda asked, her hand wrapping tightly around the door handle. Olivia put the car in park before turning towards her friend.
"Rollins, do you think you can take care of yourself?"
"Well, I've been doing it for many years..." Amanda replied awkwardly. Olivia felt her cheeks go red before nodding hesitantly.
"Yes, that is true. But you aren't doing amazing. Between getting sick and being dizzy all the time. Let alone being-"
"Olivia, I know what's wrong with me. But I'll be fine. Tomorrow I'll be ready to get back to work," Amanda spoke.
Olivia sighed softly as she tapped her fingers on the steering wheel. Olivia didn't want to make Amanda angry, but she couldn't allow her to go back to work. Chances are she may faint again or be sick for her entire shift. It made more sense for her to be at home and build back her strength.
"Amanda, you are officially on leave."
"Leave? Liv-"
"It's paid medical leave. Your doctor has to approve your return to work. I'm sorry, but-"
"I thought I wasn't getting punished for our argument?!" Amanda spat, before leaning heavily against her seat. Just yelling at Olivia made her completely exhausted.
Olivia reached out and gently touched Amanda's sweat pant covered knee.
"It's only for a few weeks, six tops. I want you to recover, Amanda. Hopefully, your morning sickness will be gone by then, and you can get back to work. Okay?" Olivia breathed.
Amanda turned to look out the window again as hot tears streamed down her flushed cheeks.
"I guess I don't have a fucking choice," she mumbled.

Amanda wouldn't even let Olivia into her apartment. She just shut the door in Olivia's face and moved to her couch. She flopped down on it and listened to Olivia mumble something outside the door, before the sound of her heeled boots clicking faded away.
Amanda laid on her back and stared at the ceiling and tried to will away her anger. Not only was she angry that she let herself get pregnant, but she was also so scared of how things would turn out. Would her entire pregnancy be as bad as it is right now? Would she be a good mother?
"What?" Amanda grumbled as she answered her phone.
"I'm FaceTiming you, dumby. Move your phone away from your ear," Dominick laughed. Amanda groaned and pulled her phone away from her ear.
"What?"
"Hello to you too, Rollins. So why aren't you are work?" Dominick asked, as he lounged in his desk chair.
"Didn't Olivia or Fin tell you?" Amanda sighed.
"No, they didn't. Liv isn't even here. So-"
"I was in the hospital, and I just got out this morning. Olivia is forcing me on medical leave, so you won't be seeing me for a while," Amanda replied. Just thinking about being on leave for weeks made her want to scream. Made her want to cry and punch things.
"Rollins-"
"Can't you just leave me alone? I'm tired and don't feel good."
"Hey, don't be like this! Tell me what is happening so I can help!" Dominick exclaimed, his eyes full of sadness.
Amanda sat up slowly and shifted until she was comfortable. Amanda stared at the wall instead of her phone, as Dominick's eyes stayed focused on her face.
"I'm pregnant, Dominick."
Dominick's jaw dropped as Nick stopped walking behind him. Both were having the same the thoughts running through their heads.
"Is it mine?" Dominick whispered.
"We haven't slept together in months, Sonny. So don't worry, you are off the hook," Amanda spoke bitterly.
"Okay then, is it Nick?" Dominick asked, fanning for Nick to join the conversation.
"No! Neither of you are stuck with me and a baby! Fuck, leave me alone!" Amanda yelled, before hanging up. She tossed her phone into an armchair before raking her fingers through her blonde locks.
It wasn't long before she was standing and pacing. Hot, angry tears streamed down her cheeks. Each turn, she noticed how the room was spinning and moments later; she was falling to her knees as everything went black.

Olivia held Amanda's hand as she rode in the ambulance with her. Olivia had faked walking away and leaving, so she heard the entire fight with Dominick and then the sound of Amanda's body thumping as it hit the floor. She knew Amanda shouldn't be alone, and now she planned on forcing the stubborn detective to stay with her so she could take care of her.
"L-liv?" Amanda mumbled, as she slowly woke up. She let her head roll to the side so she could lock eyes with Olivia.
"Hey, Mandy. How are you feeling?" Olivia breathed, as she pushed Amanda's hand away when she tried to take her oxygen off.
"My head hurts, and so do my knees. What happened?" She struggled, her voice shaking.
"You fainted again. Luckily I didn't leave-"
"But I heard-"
"I faked it. Good thing I did, because you cracked your forehead open. Amanda, you have gotta take it easy."
"Can't you tell that I am taking it easy?" Amanda whispered. Olivia smiled gently before leaning close and kissing her temple gently.
"Keep telling yourself that."
Amanda looked out the back windows as the city sped by. Olivia reached out and turned Amanda's head to look back at her. Amanda noticed the tear paths on Olivia's cheeks, and a shaky frown grew on her lips.
"You were worried..."
"I still am, Amanda. I care about you, and hate that you keep getting worse... so once you are released again, you are moving in with me. Okay?"
"I can take care of myself," Amanda whispered.
"Tell that to the gash in your forehead and your bruised knees. It's an order, Detective."
