Olivia called Amanda and informed her that Mrs. Carisi showed up and tried to discuss what was happening with Dominick. Amanda could tell that Olivia was pissed off, and decided that she needed to try to help out regarding the situation.
"Amanda," Serafina spoke, as she answered Dominick's apartment door.
"Mrs. Carisi, is Dominick here?" Amanda asked, as she shoved her hands into the pockets of her jeans.
"I don't think that he wants to see you. Sonny is pretty upset about the situation that you created," Serafina replied. Amanda took a shaky breath before shaking her head slowly.
"Sonny is the one to create this situation. I informed him on several occasions that I no longer wanted to be with him. That I wasn't going to date him again or let him raise my baby with me. He got angry when he found out that I was dating Olivia, after being a giant asshole about us signing a contract together. If he minded his own business and just accepted the fact I only wanted him as a friend, we wouldn't be in this situation. He wouldn't be just hours away from being terminated and possibly never being allowed to work for the NYPD again. So ask if he wants to talk, because I think we have some stuff to discuss," Amanda huffed.

Dominick and Amanda sat on the front steps of his apartment building. It was the only place they were going to be able to talk without Serafina eavesdropping.
"Couldn't we have talked in my car? These steps are uncomfortable," Amanda grumbled, as she shifted awkwardly on the warm concrete.
"Can't we just get this over with?" Dominick sighed. Amanda nodded slowly as she turned to look at Dominick.
At one point, she thought she was in love with Dominick. That maybe he was the one for her, and that all future babies would have his adorable smile. When they broke up, she knew that he'd always support her as a friend. Now there was nothing but anger and tension between them.
"I'm sorry that I hurt you. I really am. But you were reading way too much into what we once had," Amanda breathed.
"I don't think I read too much into anything. We were in love, Amanda. Olivia is your rebound-"
"Olivia is not my rebound. She is something so very special. I love her more than I have loved anyone before. She loves me for me... even if I'm trouble and a giant pain in the ass. I know you are grasping at what we once had, but that is in the past. If you want anything to do with me and this baby, you gotta move on. We can be friends-"
"Friends?! Ha! I don't wanna be your friend when all you do is use everyone around you! I'm sure Olivia will realize that you just want to fuck her and use her for a place to stay rent free. Now, go away."
Amanda slowly pushed herself to her feet, before taking a slow breath and turning to face him.
"You have until tomorrow morning to come back to work. If you do not show up, Olivia and Dodds are going to be forced to terminate you. If you come back, I can pretend like you don't even exist if that helps. Then we don't have to worry about you constantly catching feelings for me. Okay?"
Dominick rolled his eyes as he looked down at his shoes.
"They won't fire me," Dominick mumbled.
"They have the official paperwork drafted and sitting in Olivia's office. If you don't show up tomorrow, I'll send Nick over with your box of shit."
///
Amanda was already home when Olivia got there. All day, Olivia felt like shit kept happening to make her feel even worse about the Dominick situation. She didn't want to fire the heartbroken young detective, but she couldn't hold his job for when he got over whatever he thought was happening between himself and Amanda.
"Hey, baby," Olivia yawned, as she shut the door before locking it.
"Hey, how was work?" Amanda asked, as she moved to where Olivia stood. She placed her hands to Olivia's waist, before pulling her close and kissing her deeply.
They kissed for several long moments before resting their forehead together.
"I missed you so much. Remind me to never let you have another day off," Olivia whispered. Amanda chuckled softly, before stepping away and leading her girlfriend towards the bar where their dinner was plated and waiting to be eaten.
"So I assume that work wasn't good?"
"It sucked. Dodds came down, and we talked about Dominick and what we wanted to do regarding what he has been doing. The whole Serafina situation was shitty, especially since she shouldn't have come down to fight Dominick's battles. That all happened before noon, then after noon, we got a call about a kidnapping. The kid wasn't kidnapped, but just fell asleep in the closet while playing hide-and-seek."
"Oh, Liv."
"It's okay. I'm home now with the woman I love, and I get to cuddle her and our baby all night," Olivia smiled softly.
They sat and ate the chicken and pasta that Amanda made before Olivia washed the dishes and went to take a shower. By the time she was out, Amanda had pulled the blankets back on the bed and was dressed in her pajamas as she read something on her phone.
"Is everything okay?" Olivia asked as she rubbed lotion into her hands.
"Uh, I think. I just got a text from Dominick."
"Really?" Olivia whispered. Amanda nodded slowly and passed her phone to Olivia. Olivia read the message a few times before nodding slowly.
"So I guess we will be seeing him tomorrow, huh?"
"Sounds like it... I just hope that everything goes well and we don't have some colossal blow up in front of the entire precinct."
