"What?" Dominick asked, his voice louder than usual to compensate for the music.

"I'm in love with someone else, Dominick."

"H-how? I thought you wanted nothing to do with men anymore!" Dominick exclaimed. Amanda sighed softly, before taking a sip from her ginger ale.

"Who says that I'm in love with a man? If you want anything to do with being my friend, you should drop this. It's getting very annoying, especially since you keep ignoring what I tell you," Amanda frowned. She turned on her heel and walked back to the table.

"Hey, is everything okay?" Olivia asked, having witnessed the conversation that Amanda and Dominick had just had. She didn't know what words had been spoken, but saw the confusion on Dominick's face.

"Yeah, everything is fine. Are you getting tired? I'd like to go home."

"Sure, let's go home," Olivia smiled softly.

Amanda slipped onto Olivia's side of the bed and rested her head against her shoulder. They spoke little when they got home, but now that they were snuggled together in Olivia's bed, Amanda felt safe enough to talk.

"I think we need to disclose," Amanda whispered.

"Huh?" Olivia yawned, her eyes fluttering open.

"We need to disclose our relationship to our bosses, especially since I need to tell Nick and Dominick that I'm with someone."

Olivia swallowed hard and rested her cheek against Amanda's silky blonde hair.

"You might get transferred," Olivia whispered.

"What? Liv-"

"Dating your commanding officer is a big no-no. I could get suspended, and so could you. If we want to disclose, we gotta come up with an argument as to why we can work together and still be a couple," Olivia breathed, as she held Amanda closer.

"And what would that be?" Amanda whimpered, as she pulled away from Olivia and sat up. SVU was a home to both of them, and thinking about having to leave was breaking her heart. But then, when she looked at Olivia, it was like she felt at ease suddenly.

"Amanda-"

"It's okay... If I get transferred, I'll be okay."

"You will?"

"Yeah, I will. I can still come home at night and kiss you. This will still be our apartment, and I won't have to hide the fact I'm madly in love with you."

Olivia smiled softly, before leaning close and kissing Amanda several times. She ran her fingers through Amanda's hair before pulling away slowly.

"Let me talk to Dodds on Monday. I will test the water and see if he can let this slide. We may be giant pains in his ass, but we are a great squad."

///

"Sir?" Olivia asked, after knocking on Dodds's open office door. He lifted his head and sighed when he saw Olivia.

"Is it a good thing that I'm sitting down? Usually when you come to my office to talk, someone is in trouble. Is it Rollins again? What about Amaro?" Dodds sighed. Olivia smiled softly and shut the door before walking to his desk.

"No one is in trouble. Well, right now, no one on my squad is in trouble. However, I need to discuss something with you."

He looked at Olivia hesitantly before pointing at the chairs in front of his desk. Olivia sat down slowly before taking a slow breath. Saying that she was nervous was an understatement, especially since she'd never done anything like this before. Partners were always off limits to her, but now she was dating one of her detectives and loving every second of it.

"Benson-"

"What would it take to allow a couple to work in the same squad together?"

"A couple? Uh, like boyfriend and girlfriend?"

"Or girlfriend and girlfriend..." Olivia trailed off. Dodds knew right away what was happening, and he wanted to be pissed off. Yet for some reason, he wasn't.

"When did you and Rollins start seeing each other?" He questioned. Olivia's face grew red, and she swallowed hard.

"Uh, a little more than a week ago. We have been keeping it under wraps because I didn't want either of us to get in trouble..."

Dodds nodded slowly and leaned back in his chair, his arms crossing over his chest.

"You still want her to be your detective, correct?"

"If possible, sir. My squad works so well together, and I'd hate to disrupt that."

There was silence for a few minutes and Olivia felt herself start to sweat under her boss's stare. He was feeling out the situation, but it was making her extremely uncomfortable.

"The department has been trying out a relationship contract of sorts. Officers fall in love and get married, and it's hard to separate every couple and find precincts to transfer them to. Now, this is different. You are Rollins' commanding officer, so you are in charge of her. The contract would have to be adjusted to ensure you don't use your power for evil, if that makes sense."

"Like, I don't punish Amanda if we get into a fight at home?"

"Yes, like that. You also wouldn't be able to make decisions because she is your girlfriend. At work, she is your detective and nothing else. At home, you two can do what you please," Dodds replied.

Olivia nodded slowly as she thought about what this would mean. She knew she could separate business and pleasure, especially if it meant she could continue to see Amanda.

"Sir, this is me disclosing my relationship with Detective Amanda Rollins... Officially. We are both willing to sign a contract to allow us to work together and still be together. Are we all good?" Olivia questioned.

"Noted. I'll send the paperwork over later... Just please, give me a call when you are coming over. I was worried that Amaro beat someone up, or Amanda went undercover without notifying anyone again," Dodds grinned.

"I apologize. However, a little trouble isn't that bad when we close cases and put bad guys in jail all the time." Olivia chuckled.
