You always remember the firsts.
The first crush; that fantastic feeling when you see them, butterflies in your stomach when they look at you.
First kiss; that warm and fuzzy feeling when your lips touch theirs for the very first time, thanks to oxytocin you'd think that you are falling in love.
And first-time sex, that feeling of nervous excitement, bare skin on skin, until you reach euphoria after a bit of pain mixed with pleasure.
What about the first time your heart was broken? That unbearable pain would feel like you'll never be okay again.
When all your firsts are centred around one person is it easy to erase them from your memories? The memories live in you no matter how hard you tried to forget them or replace them.
That's why it hurt so much to see him again. The heart is still too tender, wounds open and bleeding even after years.

"Apo?"
Build put his margarita down on the picnic table.
"Hmm?" Apo shook old memories out of his mind and attempted a smiled at his friend.
"Is everything alright?" Build jerked his chin at Apo's untouched glass of sparkling wine. "You've barely touched your drink. I thought we were supposed to celebrate our win."
Wanda was impressed with the work Bedazzled had done so far and entrusted the whole campaign to them. That's why they were by the poolside of Build's small mansion, celebrating. The two friends idled lying on lounging chairs while Tong played in the pool with Adrian.
"It's nothing." Apo tried to act cheerful which didn't fool the other man but he couldn't question his friend further. They were interrupted by the ringing of Build's phone. A slight glance at the screen proved Apo's guess. It's Bible. Calling Build. Again.
"Fucking hell!" the man cursed under his breath and filliped his phone upside down.
"Dude," Apo started slowly. "I know that you don't hook up with subordinates and Bible isn't your type at all but," He clasped a hand on Build's warm shoulder and squeezed. "You can't ignore him forever, Biu. Besides, how are you going to work with him tomorrow?"
"I know.... I know..." Build ruffled his hair in frustration. "It's just that he became a completely different person, you know..." He waved his hands, his cheeks reddening. Apo tilted his head, not understanding. "I mean...." Build covered his face with his palms. "Let's say that he's far from the nervous nerd when he was in bed.... he became this bossy... asshole type which I'm always a sucker for... I may have liked it a little too much and acted like a total slut." He muttered to his hands.
