Oh how I want to move on

To forget

To find a new love

But you've ruined me for other people

Dancing with a stranger

By Normani & Sam Smith

~ Present ~

Apo couldn't keep his eyes away from Mile and Mekhala. They painted a picture of intimacy, sitting together and talking quietly to each other like a couple so much in love. Mile looked much more casual in a black short sleeve t-shirt that hugged his muscular torso with white fitted pants, almost like his younger self. His hair, free of products, was a bit loose than he normally wore these days. Apo absentmindedly wondered if those strands were silky soft to the touch like they used to be.

He averted his gaze when Mekhala reached out to touch Mile's hand. He tried to remind himself that she had every right to do that. Mile would be officially her's in a few months and Apo won't even have a legit reason to be jealous of.

He shouldn't have come to the hotel lounge. He was not even interested in drinking or socializing. He should have taken a walk along the beach by himself, something he loved to do.

"A guy is staring at you," Build murmured, leaning closer.

"Huh?" Apo frowned.

"Over there," He jerked his chin pointing to his right. Apo's eyes unintentionally followed the gesture. A tall guy in a white loose shirt and broad shorts lifted his drink and saluted Apo, with a friendly smile. Apo returned the smile awkwardly and looked away.

"Why did you have to point him like that?" He hissed at Build. "He noticed me looking at him."

"What's wrong with that?" Build liberally coated a French fry with ketchup before popping it in his mouth. "You needed to unwind. You've been so tense since we got here."

"How can some guy unwind me?" Apo grumbled, stealing a fry from Build. "I think I'll go for a walk on the beach. That's the best method to wind down tension."

"Wrong." Build grinned. "The best way to unwind is dancing." He grabbed Apo's hand. "Shall we?"

Apo laughed.

"Okay, Biu." He got to his feet, adjusting his beach shirt and loose linen pants. "Let's do it."

They went hand in hand to the dance floor.

They were welcomed with enthusiastic raptures by Tong. Already tipsy, he'd been dancing with a group of people.

"I don't wanna be alone tonight

It's pretty clear that I'm not over you

I'm still thinking 'bout the things you do

So I don't wanna be alone tonight, alone tonight."
