Chapter.1
_________________________________________I haven't left the laundry room, I've been on this uncomfortable cot for a little over two days now. At this point, I just don't even know how to live. I don't know how to live with them, I thought I could tolerate their shit but I've come to my breaking point.
No one has bothered to check up on me but I'm not surprised. I'm just a tad bit surprised that Felix hasn't even come in here to order me around or force me to do unnecessary chores.
They've left me alone.
I felt nauseous and weak, I haven't eaten in about four days, I don't know how I'm still alive. I've had access to water, I'm just scared to eat anything, I'm afraid that I'll get in trouble.
I'm afraid?
I'm afraid of him?
I'm laying here, not fighting for my freedom, not fighting for respect, and I'm not fighting for my child. I thought I had hit rock bottom, I was wrong... I still have a chance, he hasn't killed me and he hasn't tried to kill me since I spared his life the other night.
Sometimes I wonder if I had just ignored Chris' phone call, this would have never happened. I should have never agreed to give him my number.
I felt even more sick thinking about it.
I took a few deep breaths and pushed myself up off of the bed, I went slowly so I wouldn't get lightheaded. Once I was in a sitting position, I took another deep breath, I glanced up at the camera looking down at me. I looked down at my feet and slowly stood up from the cot.
My head pounded and my legs felt weak, like they couldn't hold my weight. I started to stretch my legs and walk around the laundry room a few times to get the blood flowing.
As soon as I thought I was ready, I opened the laundry room door, I exited the bathroom it lead into and stepped out into the empty hallway. The house was silent, there wasn't a sign of life anywhere, I was confused.
I made my way down the hall and into the empty kitchen. I heard a few people laughing outside the kitchen window. I peeked out the window, I was surprised to see everyone outside playing volleyball.
Felix had tackled Han on the ground they were both laughing, Han was screaming like a little girl while the others watched wit smiles on their faces. They actually look human, they don't look like the monsters they make themselves out to be.
My stomach growls, pulling me out of my thoughts. I cover my stomach with my hands as I moan in pain. I run over to the fridge, I pull the door open, glass bottles could be heard rattling together on the shelves. I looked at all the food, skimming my eyes over everything.
I notice a container of fresh strawberries, I gasp and grab the container, I clutched it tightly to my chest, there were other foods, I didn't understand the writing on them, everything was in Korean. There were these little yellow drinks at the bottom of the fridge, I furrowed my eyes and grabbed one.
After looking in the fridge, I make my way over to the island and set my food down. Right as I take a seat, the backdoor opens. I freeze, I look to see who was there but couldn't tell. The door fell off of its hinges and onto the person trying to come inside.
