Chapter 14 Gender Party

It was finally Friday morning I was so excited for this after noon I got up took a shower and put on a long yellow sun dress that went to my closet and threw on my yellow bobs.

Soon I did my make up and curled my reddish brown hair and then I threw on my white north face jacket to keep me warm.

After I was all ready I walked down stairs and was greeted with Chelsea and Joshua we all went out to eat for breakfast at Elm's down the street from us.

We arrived at the restaurant and went in and got a booth I ordered pancakes with chocolate chips, bacon, eggs, and toast, Joshua ordered pancakes and bacon ,and Chelsea ordered biscuit and gravy with eggs and bacon.

Soon are food came and we ate our food I finished everything and Joshua and Chelsea just looked at me because they were full and they couldn't eat everything I just laughed and said, "I'm sorry I can't help I'm eating for three now." we all just laughed.

We was bout to leave when I got a texted from Carmen.

C: hey girl I just wanted to let you know be at the park by 12:00pm okay cause that's when the party will start I almost have everything ready okay.

N: alright girl and thanks again your the best love you see you soon!!!

With that we headed back to the house for a little bit to chill since it was another hour till we had to be down at the park.

*Carmen's POV*

I woke up early this Morning and got ready and ate breakfast then I left the house to go to the store to get the rest of the things I needed for the gender party.

Once I got to Part City I walked around till I found the baby aisle that I needed I got a bunch of silly strings for the first baby and then I got balloons for the second baby now I needed a big box and white paper with pink and blue ribbons because what ever color the balloons come out be the gender of the second baby.

After spending a whole hour in the party store I finally found everything I needed and checked out. I headed to the park to set everything up since I had three hours left to get everything ready.

Once I got to the park it was nice out it was nice enough to wear just a jacket and keep warm. I headed toward the tables and started with the ribbons and placing everything out and the food.

*3 HOURS LATER*

After almost finishing everything I texted Nicole and let her know I was ready for her to come to the park people were already starting to show up.

*Nicole's POV*

We were riding around town when I get a text from Carmen.

C: Hey I'm ready for y'all people are starting to show up so get ya butt here.

N: lol alright be there in 5.

With that I told Joshua and we started heading to the park. on the ride there we argued bout what the babies were.

J: "it's a boy and maybe both boys."

N: "No it's a girl and a boy! I have a feeling.

Chels: "I hope it's boy and girl equal for both of you."

We argues over the twins until we finally arrived to the park. We all sat around and talked to people Joshua parents, brothers, and some of his siblings were there and my two friends and his friends came.

After bout thirty minutes go by and eating lunch and snacks it was time to find out the sex of the babies.

We got every one to pick blue or pink napkin for what they think the first baby is. next me and Caleb got the silly string cans and took of the white top and then sprayed it up in the air but I sprayed it at him.

Out came pink string and hit Joshua in the face and everyone yelled, "ITS A GIRL!" And the look on Joshua face was shocked and happy.

We walked over to the big white box with white paper and pink and blue ribbons. we looked at each other and said in a whisper, " this is a boy." we both smiled and pulled the ribbons and open the box...

We open the box and pink balloons went up into the air everyone yelled, "ITS A GIRL!" And me and Joshua just stood there shocked thinking that we thought it was a boy.

Everyone was happy and others were mad like Joshua brothers wanted boys but oh well I was happy but still shocked.

An hour went by and everyone finally went home me and Joshua said our goodbyes to everyone and I thanked Carmen for the party and everything she put together for us.

Soon we left Chelsea went out to her friends house, and me and Joshua went home. After fifteen minutes we were finally home Joshua made dinner why I set the dinner table and clean some of the kitchen.

Soon dinner was done we had spaghetti And Texas toast with dr. pepper to drink we sat down and ate and we talked bout Christmas coming up soon and shopping and decorating.

Then I looked up at Joshua, "we need to change the nursery to girl stuff and I want to do a different color and a different theme." I said rushing it out, Joshua just looked up at me and stared, "okay if you really want to." Joshua said agreeing with me.

"I can have your mom help out if she liked to." I said smiling up at Joshua. he just nodded his head and agreed with me.

"I'll call her tomorrow and ask if she liked to help me and give me us time to bond ya know." I said stuffing my face.
Joshua shook his head side to side and laugh.

"What so funny?." I said curiously. he looked at me, "nothing just you stuffing your face while trying to talk is so romantic." I hit him playfully and then we cleaned our plates and then the dishes,

Before long we went up stairs I got Into the shower why he watched tv and after I got out he got in and then soon we both laid down and watched a movie and soon we both fell asleep me in his arms and one hand on my belly bump.
