Chapter 24 Bad Times And Good Times

I was sitting there with Chelsea trying to calm her down but nothing seemed to work. I couldn't understand stand if she was crying over the break up or if it was over a sad book she read.

"I.. I.." She choked on her words.

"What is it chels you can tell me." I said reassuring her I was here for her.

"I.. Ca- n't- do- th- is-.." She cried more.

"There there chels it's going to be ok are you pregnant is that what it's all about?" asked confused.

She was quiet for awhile just crying into my shoulder when I pulled her back to see her red teary face.

"Chels baby it's going to be okay I'm here for you we can be pregnant sisters or something like that." I said trying to cheer her up.

Then she looked at me confused and wiped her face and shook her head.

"I'm not pregnant I- I- have- ca- n- c- er-.." She busted out crying even more.

All I could do was stare at her in shock at what she said I started to tear up and before I knew it I busted out crying.

"How do you know this?" I asked trying to calm down.

"Well the other day I went for a check up with the special doctor because I've been hurting in my lower abdomen and when the Doctor gave me a check up she took some samples I wasn't pregnant but the doctor thinks I have cancer in my ovaries and I waited to long that it has already started to spread so the doctor gave me a piece of paper to make an appointment with the cancer doctor, which is next week I go." She looked at me dead in the eye and busted out crying again.

"Oh my god Chels!" I yelled and cried grabbing her up in a hug.

We just sat there the rest of the night crying our eyes out and holding each other.

What seems like hours go by we finally see the morning sun starting to bean threw the windows. I looked down at phone to see what time it was it was 7:30am.

*Later That Day*

It was four in the afternoon when I was sitting on my bed thinking of past and future when Joshua interrupted me brining me back to earth.

"What has got you all down today baby?" He looked at me confused.

Then I remembered I didn't have time to tell Joshua the news when he went to work this morning.

"Well I got bad news." I looked up at him trying to hold the tears back.

"What is it what's wrong Nicole is it one of the girls?" He had a worried face.

"No the girls are fine it's Chelsea babe." I looked down at the floor.

"What's wrong did she get her heart broken again." He looked like he was bout to bust out laughing.

"No you dip shit she has cancer and she has to go get checked out to see if it has spread or not." I gave him a death glare.

"Oh I'm so sorry baby." His smile dropped to a frown.

He walked over to me and gave me a hug and sat down.

"When does she go to the doctor and what kind of cancer?" He looked up at me.

"She has it in her lower abdomen and in her ovaries and the doctor thinks it spread even further and next week she wants me to go with her." A tear fell down my cheek.

Joshua hugged me tight not letting go we stay like that what seems like forever. We finally let go of each other and just laid there looking up at the ceiling.

A week goes by and it's finally Friday. I woke up early took a shower and got ready once I was finished I grabbed my purse, phone, and coat. I headed down stairs to meet up with Chelsea to go to her doctors appointment.

I kissed Joshua goodbye and got into the car with Chelsea she wanted to drive so she says but I think Joshua told her to because he didn't want me driving.

On the way to the doctors we just stayed silent. It took two hours to get there and another thirty minutes to find a parking spot close to the enough so we didn't have to walk far.

Once we got parked we walked a cross the bridge to get inside the building once we got inside we went up to the front desk Chelsea signed in and we sat down to wait for her name to be called.

Another thirty minutes goes by and we finally heard her name be called we walked to the door where the nurse stood with a clip board.

"Chelsea Gullett?" The nurse looked at Chelsea to make sure it was her.

"Yes mam." She nodded her head to the nurse.

We followed the nurse around the corner where she weighed Chelsea then took her blood pressure and then her temp. After that the nurse took us down the hall and into a room on the right.

"Alright now the doctor will be with you shortly."she smiled and walked out of the room closing the door behind us.

We waited for a good fifteen minutes till the doctor finally came in the room. He talked to us about the situations if Chelsea had cancer or not or what stage it could be on how she was feeling.

After talking to the doctor he had the nurse take some blood examples and did some other test. Soon after she was finish she left the room closing the door behind her.

We sat there staring at each other waiting for the test results to come back and for the doctor to give us the news.

Thirty minutes go by and the doctor finally comes in.

"Well Chelsea your results are in." He said holding the folder. We stared at each other and then back at the doctor.

"Chelsea Gullett you.."

Hey guys sorry for the late up date with school back I have already had lots of homework sadly but I still try to manage any free time I have to write so I hope you like this chapter I tried my best to make it great for yall!
