Doctor's Appointment

We arrived to my doctors office and parked as close as we could. We must have been ecstatic because we had gotten there a little earlier then I expected us to be. I walked to the desk where the nurse gave me papers to fill out with my personal information. Jay already picked us out two chairs in the corner to sit at, and began reading a magazine. I sat down beside him until I finished filling out my papers, then I took it back to the nurse at the front desk.

About five-ten minutes later they called "Adriana Baker." I stood up, and walked toward the nurse who called my name. Jay followed behind me. "The doctor will see you now, go to room fourteen."

We walked down the narrow hallway. Jay pointed to the door that read 14. I opened the door and walked to the bed table. The doctor walked in and started asking many questions, ones that I expected. Today is March 17th and the doctor informed me that my due date is October 13th. I am about 10 weeks pregnant.

Dr. Corwin told us it was possible that we could hear the heartbeat. It was an amazing feeling to hear the baby. It finally set in I have a baby growing inside me.

Next we wanted to see the ultrasound.I dreamed of this day for forever. We looked at the monitor. Then we saw the tiny baby forming. It is actually happening, we are going to be parents.

Jay is staring at the screen, smiling. He looked at me "this is our baby" he said kissing me on cheek. I grabbed his hand and laying it on my belly, with my hand over his. The doctor scheduled my next appointment for when I will be 15 weeks pregnant to check up on the baby again.

We left and went to Taco Bell. I have been craving burritos since yesterday morning. We sat at a booth and started to eat our food. Jay asked "when should we start telling people?" I answered "We can invite our parents and other family members over tomorrow for dinner." he agreed to dinner tomorrow to tell our family about the baby.
