"I missed you"

ADI'S POV:-

Today's was first ODI match of the series going on. And, I did not see it live from the stadium despite being in the city, because I had no reason to. But now, It feels like I should have been there. Dev and Shub, both the besties, hit centuries.

I was so engrossed in my thoughts that I didn't notice that someone was on my door, and I don't know for how long.

I rushed towards the door and peeped through the peep hole, and It was Dev.

What is he doing here? Something striked inside my head and I opened the door within a second.

He rushed in and closed the door behind him.

"What are you doing here Devdutt Padikkal?" I asked in a stern tone.

He just looked at me and smiled. And the next moment, he hugged me, so tight, that I barely could breath. I hugged him back without any thought.

"Congratulations for the century, Dev." I said.

"Thank you, and sorry Adi" he said and looked at me.

"For?" I asked despite knowing the reason behind the sorry.

"For everything" he said.

"So, you're here to tell me that our relationship is our and you're getting married to someone. Congratulations! Have a beautiful married life! But remember, you never fought for us!" I said in one breath.

"Woah! Too many words. No, I'm not here to tell you that I'm getting married or something. I'm here to apologise to you for the past couple of months. I was mentally drained, Adi. I did not had the courage to fight anymore. It was mentally draining. Still, I've talked to my parents about us, every single day. I'm putting all my efforts." He said.

I looked at him. What beautiful creation!

Ok, Adi. Focus please!

"Dev, we'll never be able to get married. It'll forever be in the dreams. It's better for you to get married to someone else".

"Are you goddamn crazy or what? I don't even look at any other girl, and you want me to get married to anyone? Will you date me after I get married?" He said in anger tone, but sounded lame.

I giggled at his last sentence.

"I'm not joking. Adi, please yrr, I'm trying. Trust me. You try me once. If you think it's working, kill me or do anything to me. But just once. I'm fighting for us everyday and idhr ladki hi nhi Maan rhi", he said.

He continued his pitching for next half an hour and I just listened like and obedient child.

"...I just want us. Everything will be fine, please!", with this, his speech was over.

He looked at me with teary eyes.

I can't let this man go. Love wins everytime. And I can see the truth in his eyes. He's putting efforts.

I looked at him and he raised his eyebrows.

I pulled him by his tshirt and kissed him. That kiss was so deep and passionate.

I missed this man so much. I missed everything about him.

He held me by my waist and pulled me closer to him, we barely had a millimetre of space between us. Next, he picked me up and took me to the bed.

He layed on the top of me and began kissing me again. I was so out of breath, I pushed him slightly and broke the kiss.

"You'll kill me", I whispered and looked straight into his eyes.

"I missed you." He grunted and started kissing every inch of my neck.

Dev's POV

"Where were you?", my mom asked me asked me as I entered her hotel room.

I looked at her and looked the door behind me. It was better not to answer, than lying to her.

"You were not with Shub, you were not in your room. Not with any teammate." She said.

My mom gave me almost 15 missed calls until I received. My phone was on silent, and I was sleeping, in Adi's room. And then, Shub called on Adi's phone to pass on the news of me being missing.

"Maa, I was with a friend and my phone was on silent. Don't make a fuss about it.", I said in irritated voice.

"Which friend?", She asked and stood infront of me.

"Maa, we're late already, I gotta go and change. Please get ready." I asked and left the room.

"This is not a way to avoid a conversation, Dev", I heard mom say as I left the room.

I walked back to my room and just layed out. I was so exhausted.

But Shub and I had planned a only family party kind off thing. So, for that I had to get ready and move to the party location, which is the hotel terrace.

I showered and put on the tshirt and jeans. That's when I received a text from Adi.

"When will you be here?", It said.

"In 5", I wrote.

I locked my room, and went to the terrace with my parents.

And, there was little surprise waiting for me, which I wasn't expecting, AT ALL. Neither did Adi tell me about it.
