𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐀𝐑𝐀 𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐕𝐎 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐁𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐎𝐎𝐑𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐊'𝐒 𝐂𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐍 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆, 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐓𝐎 retreat backward and turn away with a gasp, "I'm so sorry!"
Scarlet was giggling like a schoolgirl at something terribly stupid Finnick had said, "No, no! It's alright, Chiara, are we home yet?"
"The train will stop now, get ready." Said Chiara, still not looking at the pair snuggled in the same bed. Her reaction made Scarlet wheeze out a laugh, loving the intense effect she had on the mentor without saying a single word.
She really did love annoying her mentors, ever since day one.
"Come on now, let's go greet everyone!" Anfisa joined in, ushering the two who slowly got out of bed to get themselves presentable enough.
The group stepped out of the train, Scarlet waved at everyone in her district who looked at her in awe but her eyes searched for only one person in the crowd.
Finnick, Anfisa, Mags, and Chiara followed closely behind as Scarlet rushed down the aisle created amongst the flock of people, then a voice she mourned for so long called.
"SCARLET!"
"Jade?" She snapped her head around, eyes flickering everywhere.
"I'm here, I'm here!" A panting voice cried and Scarlet━who finally caught her sister's eyes━sprinted towards the older woman.
"Jade! Oh, I missed you so much, I missed you so much." She squealed, practically jumping into the arms of the older Cristela as she was engulfed in a much-needed hug.
"I missed you too, my star." Jade whispered in her ear, not letting her go, not easing her tight grip.
Whilst Scarlet was in a hug, face over Jade's shoulder, she caught Finnick's glistening, stood-out eyes in midst of the chaotic crowd, smiling warmly at her which she reciprocated.
Jade pulled away with teary eyes, playfully slapping her sister's arm with a choked-up sob, "Don't ever leave me again!"
Her sister's touch was all she needed for her to find meaning in life again. "I'm home now, I'm never leaving again."
The time she spent for the next week was as joyful as ever. It was just her, Jade, and her boyfriend Will, just the three of them like the old times. Except for this time, they had the luxury to spend more time with each other with the money Scarlet was gifted. It felt wrong to use it, but it allowed her more time in her family's presence.
