GracieThank you for reading Harper and Draco's story.
This book truly has been a journey through love, loss, and the choices that define us. Harper's story was always meant to be bittersweet. She's a reminder that even in darkness, courage and love can shine, and that sometimes the greatest acts of heroism are quiet, unseen, and full of sacrifice.
Writing Harper's perspective, watching her struggle with her loyalty to her father while discovering her own moral compass, and finally witnessing her ultimate sacrifice, was both heartbreaking and cathartic. And through Draco, we see the long, painful aftermath of grief with the struggle to hold onto hope, even when all seems lost.
Audrey, Harper's legacy, is a symbol of light in the ruins. She's a reminder that love can survive even when the world doesn't and that the people we lose continue to shape us through the lives they leave behind.
Thank you for letting me share this story with you and for feeling the joy, the fear, and the heartbreak alongside these characters. Writing this story was a way to honor the complicated, messy, beautiful love and loss that defines Harper and Draco's world and I hope it stayed with you even after the last word. I can't believe I'm finally finished as I've really been writing this since April 2021 when I was in 8th grade. Being a D1 procrastinator and also going through the busiest/hardest times of my life, I'm surprised it didn't take me longer to write this. I'm so insanely proud of this book and the beautiful story we created together. This is also the first book I ever finish so this is huge for me!! Such a big accomplishment.
(im open to an alternate ending😉😉)
with so so so much love,
yogirlgracie
