2 months later...
We were now in the middle of a mission.
I was in a truck with Clint and Nat as we fought some of the guys from HYDRA. A tank was hot on our tail, firing at us. Thankfully for us, their aim was shit.
"Can you get that?" Nat asked me as we saw a robot approaching us.
"Do you even got to ask?" I asked with with a raised eyebrow before turning back to the robot and splitting in half with my powers.
"Atta girl." Clint said before shooting another one with his bow and arrow.
Tony flew by us in his suit. He had way more ability than us, so hopefully, it would make more damage.
The tank stopped next to us, and before the sniper could fire, Thor crushed him with his hammer before flying away.
Steve then drove past us on his bike, after using his shield to hit 3 men, right before Hulk grabbed HYDRA's tank and threw it away like it was an old toy.
A line of soldiers made a line in front of us, so at the same time, we all jumped to attack them.
I didn't have to do that much. I basically just threw the men around with my powers. As soon as they hit the ground they blacked out.
"SHIT!" We heard Tony yell in our ear.
"Language!" We heard Steve say. "Jarvis, what's the view from upstairs?"
"Did he just-?" I started before punching a guy, and then throwing him on top of 3 others.
"The central building is protected by some kind of energy shield. Truckers technology is well beyond any other HYDRA base we've taken." Jarvis informed us.
Yup, that's what we were doing now. As Fury promised me, we were taking down HYDRA. We started by the Austria base, which was my base, and were now in Sokovia. Technically, it was to find the sceptre Thor's adopted brother Loki stole and created that whole thing in New York 3 years back.
"Loki's sceptre must be here!" Thor exclaimed as he fought some more men. "Strucker couldn't mount this defense without it. At long last."
A man came towards me and I snapped his neck with my powers.
"Mari." Nat called me. "A boost?" She asked pointing at the tank in front of us.
I nodded at her, allowing her to almost fly towards them with my powers. She threw a grenade in the tank, making it explode before she jumped on the men a couple feet away from it.
I joined her, helping her take them down.
"'At long last' is lasting a little long, boys." Nat stated before shooting 2 guys.
"Yeah. I think we lost the element of surprise." Clint said as he blew up another tank.
"You think?" I asked and threw 2 men to the flaming tank.
"Wait a second. No else besides Mari is gonna deal with the fact that Cap just said 'language'?" Tony asked.
"Thank you!" I said as I broke the knees of 2 other men, making them fall in front of me.
"I know." Cap sighed before throwing his bike towards a tank, blowing it up. "It just slipped out."
I laughed at the explanation, knowing he had already restrained himself for saying that to me.
A couple minutes later, we saw lasers getting fired from the HYDRA base.
"Well, we know Strucker's not gonna worry about civilian casualties." Tony said sadly. "Send in the Iron Legion." And with that, a few iron suits made by Tony started flying towards the civilians, trying to keep them safe.
