"Hey." I said as I walked into the small room where Clint was resting. Nat was also there, sitting on a chair next to him.
"Hey." Clint said smiling as he saw me.
"I heard Dr. Cho took care of you." I said as I sat on the chair next to Nat's.
"She did. I'm going to be all better for the party tomorrow night." Clint said happily.
"Really? That's what you're thinking about? The party?" I asked with raised eyebrows.
"I have been inside this room for 24 hours. Obviously, I am dying to get out." Clint stated.
"Fair." I said with a nod.
"Hey." Nat said making me look at her. "You okay?"
"Let me guess... Steve told you." I sighed as I looked down to my hands on my lap.
"He's just worried. It was the first time he saw you cry." Nat told me.
"He shouldn't have seen me cry at all." I said regretfully.
"Hey, kid." Clint said making me look at him. "With what you've been through, I would find it weird if you didn't cry. Personally, I would bawl like a baby."
I knew he wouldn't and was just trying to make me feel better. Unfortunately it was working. It was making me feel validated.
"You're good liar." I said smiling at him. "Thank you."
"You've been through a lot of shit." Nat stated.
"Says the Black Widow herself." I scoffed.
"Yeah, but mine was a long time ago. You've been free for like, what, a year? Year and a half? It's still very recent. It's okay to feel emotional, and it's okay to not have it completely processed yet." Nat said softly as she ran her hand up and down my back.
"Thanks guys... truly." I said as I felt myself getting emotional again.
After spending 7 years locked up with scientists, having two people that genuinely care about seemed almost unreal.
I was now on my way to my room, when Tony called.
"Marianne, wait up!" Tony said from behind me.
"Yeah?" I asked as I turned around to face him.
"I have something for you. Come to the lab?" He asked me.
"Yeah, sure." I nodded, trying to hide how eager I was.
I had never been to Tony's lab, so this was pretty exciting for me.
My eyes widened when we reached the room.
There were iron man suits everywhere, some were even probably just testing suits. A couple tables with holograms, and on the corner of the room, there it was.
"Is that... what I think it is?" I asked, not taking my eyes off of it.
"Sure is." He said proudly from behind me.
In the corner of the lab, was a black suit with pink details. It had a place for the knifes that I liked to use, and for a gun if necessary.
I looked back at Tony and smiled thankful at him.
"Thank you so much, Tony." I said hugging him. "You didn't have to."
"Of course I didn't have to." He said as we pulled away. "I wanted to. And besides, it was kind of embarrassing being the only one without a suit. Just saying."
That made chuckle.
"Is it like Nat's?" I asked him as we walked closer to it.
"Yes and no." He said, making me look at him with furrowed eyebrows. "Yes, it might look slightly similar; however, no because yours is much more complex."
