Safe House

Clint had now taken us to a mystery safe house in the middle of nowhere. Thankfully, I read his mind. He had taken us to his home, where his wife and kids were.

"What is this place?" Thor asked as we were walking inside the house.

"Safe house." Tony deduced.

"Let's hope." Clint said as he opened the door. "Honey?" He called loudly. "I'm home."

Just a second later, a pregnant Laura reached us, as she was holding what I assumed to be children's paintings. Clint had already told me they were expecting, which made me crazy happy for them.

"Hi." He said with an apologetic smile. "Company. Sorry I didn't call ahead."

"Hey." She said smiling as she kissed him and then hugged him.

"This is an agent of some kind." Tony said looking at us.

"Gentlemen, this is Laura." Clint introduced.

"I know all your names." She chuckled.

I had already FaceTimed her on Clint's phone once. She was nice, I liked her.

Suddenly, we started hearing footsteps.

"Ooh. Incoming." Clint said before we saw two children running towards him.

"Dad!" His daughter exclaimed.

"Hi, sweetheart! Hey, buddy!" He said as he hugged them. "How are you guys doing?"

I was smiling at the sweet interaction. I then looked at my friends, who were looking more confused than ever. I found it amusing.

"These are smaller agents." Tony stated looking at them.

"Did you bring auntie Nat?" His daughter asked him.

"Why don't you hug her and find out?" Nat asked her as she appeared from the door.

His daughter went running to her and hugged her, making smile widely at the interaction.

"Sorry for barging in on you." Steve said, making us known.

"Yeah, we would've called ahead, but we were busy having no idea that you existed." Tony said.

"Yeah, well, Fury helped me set this up when I joined." Clint told them. "He kept it off S.H.I.E.L.D.'s files. I'd like to keep it that way. I figured it's a good place to lay low."

"Marianne." Laura said smiling at me.

"Laura." I said smiling as I walked up to her.

"Come here." She said hugging me. "It's so good to finally meet you face to face."

"I agree! It was long overdue." I said as we pulled away.

"It's not even been a month since you two FaceTimed." Clint said with furrowed eyebrows.

"Your point?" I asked as Laura crossed her arms.

"Nothing." He said, opening his arms in surrender, making us smile at each other.

"I missed you." Natasha said hugging Laura. "How's little Natasha, huh?" She asked, looking at Laura's belly.

"She's... Nathaniel." Laura told her.

Nat's smile change quickly and she leaned down.

"Traitor." She said to the unborn baby, making me chuckle.

A few seconds later, I saw Thor go outside, and Steve going after him.

I was able to change Nat's memory, and Bruce's, but Thor wouldn't let me. He said that he was strong enough to take it. I was almost sure then... I was not so sure now.
