A few weeks later...
We were now back at the new Avengers facility. Since, you know, Ultron kinda destroyed the Avengers tower.
Clint's baby boy had already been born. He called him Nathaniel Pietro Barton. A beautiful name. We wouldn't see him for a while, he was down with his missions. He was now a full and renewed family man. That was good. He was in serious need of more family time.
Nat was sad, because after the mission, Bruce vanished. No one knows where he is. We have not heard or seen him since that day. All we could do was hope he was okay.
Tony was... well, Tony. He was trying to spend more time with Pepper, which I thought was amazing. He also wanted to try and teach me more about technology so I wasn't- well, Steve.
Steve was also the same. Sam and I now had the mission of trying to show Steve every big movie that missed and things like that. We had now shown him and Thor Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and next on the list was Star Wars.
Wanda was now dating Vision. It was weird at first, but we all accepted it well. He was there, and understood her better than any of us could. He was also trying his best to adapt to our world, so I was glad they had each other.
And Thor was leaving today, which really saddened me. I didn't know when I would see him again, but I knew he had to leave.
I was now with Steve, Thor, and Tony, saying goodbye to Thor.
"The rules have changed." Steve said.
"We're dealing with something new." Tony said.
"Oh, the Vision's artificial intelligence." Steve added.
"A machine." Tony nodded.
"So, it doesn't count?" Steve asked.
"No. It's not like a person lifting the hammer." Tony agreed.
"Right." Steve said pointing at him. "Different rules for us."
"It has to count, dumbasses." I huffed. "He still has morals and principles. I think." I paused as I glanced down for a second. "You're just saying all that because you feel ashamed that Vision lift the hammer and you couldn't."
"But guy's a machine!" Tony defended.
"Exactly!" Steve agreed.
"With thoughts and feelings! Your theory is not valid here." I told them.
"He can wield the hammer, he can keep the Mind stone." Thor said. "It's safe with the Vision. And these days, safe is in short supply."
"See? Even the God agrees." I said as I crossed my arms.
Tony just groaned as he took his hands up to his head.
"Look, what if you place the goddamn hammer on an elevator?" I asked them.
"It would still go up." Tony told me.
"Would it, though?" I asked him with a raised eyebrow.
"Elevator's not worthy." Steve said shaking his head.
"I'm gonna miss these little talks of ours." Thor said looking fondly at us.
"Then maybe don't leave?" I suggested.
"You know I have to, Marianne." Thor told me softly.
"Ugh, I know. Godly duties and all." I said rolling my eyes.
"The Mind Stone is the fourth of the Infinity Stones to show up in the last few years. It's not a coincidence. Someone has been playing an intricate game, and has made pawns of us." Thor said as we finally got outside. "Once all these pieces are in position..."
