CHAPTER 12

[Shadow's pov]

Sonic hasn't showed up since this morning... he's always running around but he wasn't here today... i wonder where he could be...?

... maybe he's just busy...

why am i getting a bad feeling about this?

i decided to text Sonic and see if he would reply but he didn't.

there's definitely something wrong here...

i carried Ruby and ran around to see if i would find him.

[Tails' pov]

"Sonic?" i said as i knocked on his bedroom door. it's already time for lunch and he still hasn't came out of his room.

dad was behind, calling for Sonic as well. i suddenly had an idea!

"i'll go see if his window is open!" i told dad.

"how will you do that?" he asked and i ran to my room and i used my tails to fly out of my window to get to Sonic's window.

i opened the window and saw that... he wasn't here...

i opened the door and showed dad that Sonic isn't here.

[Shadow's pov]

i was still looking around for Sonic but i couldn't find him... there was something wrong... i can feel it.

[Tails' pov]

"i'll look for him outside!" i said and ran out of the house.

i wonder where he is...

[Shadow's pov]

im getting worried... this bad feeling isn't just here for no reason!

"i have to find him!" both of them said.

[Tails' pov]

as i was running, i bumped into someone and we both fell to the ground.

i looked to see who it is and-

"MEPHILES?!" i panicked.

"no, no im not Mephiles!" the hedgehog said and i didn't believe him for a second but i noticed that his quills look different so i believed him.

"how do you know Mephiles..?" he asked.

[Shadow's pov]

"well... he used to be in a relationship with my brother but we found out that he kills people so my brother broke up with him." the fox said "he almost killed me too!" he added.

that sounds awful... wait... "what's your name?" i asked him.

[Tails' pov]

"im Miles! but you can just call me Tails! what's your name?" i said as i held my hand out.

"Shadow." he said as he shook my hand. "may i have your brother's name?" he added.

[Shadow's pov]

"his name is Sonic. why do you ask?" he said.

i knew it.

"oh! wait-"

"is Sonic with you??" we asked at the same time..

[Tails' pov]

huh... well that answers all my questions.

"So Sonic isn't with you?" we asked at the same time again.

i chuckled a little and so did he.

"seriously though... where could Sonic be..?" i asked.

"i was looking for him as well because I had a bad feeling..." he said.

"maybe we can work together and look for him!" i said and he nodded.
