Destiny liked to say she mostly did the right thing.
She remembered the first time she'd gotten in trouble with her parents. Destiny was about 7 years old and she broke her grandmother's vase when she threw a baseball at it. Her parents didn't yell or curse. They just continuously reiterated that they were disappointed in her.
Destiny didn't like the feeling that gave her so she worked to be impressive since that very day. She did pretty much everything her parents wanted until she turned 19 and Nike gave her a contract so she dropped out of school. They were able to get over it because she was now a $40 million woman.
When Destiny got engaged to Christian, they were even more proud. She was happy that it made them proud so, she pretended to be happy.
Insert Jordan.
Had he not found her sitting in the tunnel by herself, spicy chicken salad and book balanced on her lap, they probably wouldn't be where they are right now.
Destiny was in Tokyo with Jordan right now, walking the streets to do whatever they could. It was a lot warmer than San Fran but they both enjoyed it.
She couldn't really understand why she kept thinking about Christian and whether or not it was actually a good idea to forgive him. She felt okay in forgiving him because he'd never have the same access to her as before but she didn't know exactly how Jordan would feel.
He was secure but he also knew that Christian was the man she almost married. Jordan didn't want any conflict with him if he already had Kim on his case about it.
Honestly, Destiny wasn't sure if telling Jordan was the right thing to do. She didn't even know if forgiving Chris in the first place was the right thing to do. They were the godly things to do, though.
"Hi, Jordan! Big fan!" A man called over to the two, causing Jordan to stop in his tracks.
The guard had been stopping to take pictures and sign autographs since they got here and Destiny thought it was the sweetest thing. Jordan was truly a good person and conversationalist.
"Nice to meet y'all." Jordan shook the man's hand as well as the little boy with him.
Destiny took their pictures, posting them on her own instagram story. By now, everyone knew that Jordan Poole was dating Destiny Clark. Everyone had an opinion about them, which Destiny couldn't really understand.
What business did Jordan Poole, the inconsistent and child-like guard for the Warriors, have with Destiny Clark, the quiet and proper youngest member of the Clark family that was worth almost a billion dollars?
It was simple really.
The medias perception of them wasn't quite who they were.
"Pose, shorty." Jordan called to Destiny who was walking ahead of him.
Destiny looked back to the disposable camera in Jordan's hand, smiling softly. The boy had thousands of pictures of Destiny from the few spontaneous vacations they'd been on, some off guard and others not. None of them were anything short of absolutely stunning.
"You hungry yet?"
She shrugged, feeling him slip his large hand into hers. "A little bit."
"You okay?" He asked.
"Christian came to the house the other day." Destiny admitted. "Said he wanted to be cool again. I told him I forgave him."
Jordan nodded slowly, wondering why the randon thought was weighing heavily on her mind. "Mm, okay. Is that bothering you?
