Athena stepped out onto the grass feeling the nice surface of the Earth below her feet. While she was glad to have closure, she was just as glad to be out of the temple. She down at her new armor that covered her entire body. It was truly a work of pure craftsmanship despite how old it must have been. The gold symbol of the Lawbearer shined even in the moonlight.
"Um... isn't Whitestone supposed to be here?" Keyleth asked. Athena looked up to see that only a field of grassland was before them.
"Were we taken to the wrong spot?" she asked.
"No," Percy answered stepping ahead, "This is the right valley. But where's it gone?"
Vex sighed, "What's with cities up and moving this week?"
Vax moved ahead of them, the wind whistling past his him. He bent down to the ground as he inspected the horizon. He look down and saw tracks of a wolf heading forward. "Hmm."
He looked ahead as the breeze went by moving the grass and flowers. A tulip dip forward disappearing for a moment before appearing again swaying in the wind. He stood up and reached out a hand in the direction of the wind. His fingers disappeared causing him to jolt back a bit as the air rippled around him.
"Maybe it didn't move," he smiled back at them. He walked forward, his entire body disappearing as the air rippled in purple arcane waves. The rest of them followed after him. Once they crossed the sphere, they were suddenly greeted by the streets of Whitestone. Citizens were moving about their business under the night sky. Lanterns lit up the streets as they walked to the castle. A complete difference from a few weeks ago.
They immediately head for the advisor's room after being told that Cassandra, Yennen, Gilmore, Allura, and Kima were having a meeting. They were their best bets at finding the others.
"The dragons are on the move," Kima stated looking at their map on the table around them, "They've already taken Emon and Westruun."
"Our defenses are holding steady for now, but Gilmore and I will need help soon," Allura said.
"Hiding the city was never meant to be a permanent solution," Yennen reminded them.
"I can't speak for Allura, but keeping this cloaking spell up is murder on my complexion," Gilmore grumbled holding up the protection sphere and dotting his forehead with a handkerchief.
"I am fully aware of our situation. But for now, concealing Whitestone is the only way to protect it," Cassandra declared.
"Well, whatever you're doing, Cass, I'm pleased to see it's worked," Percy complimented and announcing their presence. A collective gasp erupted from the group.
"Percy!"
"Vox Machina." Allura stood up as they walked up to them, "After three weeks, we'd started to give up hope."
"Three weeks? We've only been gone three days," Keyleth explained.
"I hate the bloody Fey Realm," Percy stated walking up to his sister.
"Well, despite your temporal hiccup, I'm relieved you're back," Gilmore said hugging Vax and inspecting him. "Oh, and with a new look."
Vax chuckled, "Something like that. Happy to see you as well, Shaun."
Gilmore turned looking at Athena gasping, "Darling, look at you! You are glowing!" Gilmore walked up to her taking her hands in his. "I mean I do like the dark leather of his but you are positively radiant in this...suits you very well."
