Sunlight beams through the trees as I walk up the long driveway. The flight seemed as if it took forever but I was finally here. The closer I got to the house the better I could see a woman sitting on the porch. When she spots me she stands and walks down the white steps towards me. "Can I help you?"she asks firmly. "I'm looking for Sam. Sam Wilson. Is this his house?"I ask as I squint, my hand trying to block my eyes from the sun.

"You must be Sapphire."she says softly, just like the gently breeze blowing through our hair. "Yes ma'am, that's me." A small smile appears on her face as she fully steps down to greet me. "I'm Sarah, Sam's sister. Why don't you come with me, I'll take you too him." I nod and begin to follow her around the house.

His familiar voice hits my ears before I even see him. Sam stands working on what looks like a net with two little boys. "Sam, you have a visitor." Quickly he spins around and faces me. "I'm glad to see you took me up on my offer." "Well what can I say, I didn't want to hear the lecture you would give me if I didn't." "I do not lecture."he says slightly offended. "Yes you do."says one of the boys. I try to hide my smirk as I shove my hands in my pockets.

"Boy what do you know."Sam says with a laugh even more offended now. "Looking a little insulted there Sam."I say with a laugh "Blue these are my nephews, and it looks like you have already met Sarah." "Are you the one who controls lightning?"the smaller boy asks as he turns to us. "Sort of."I say with a smile. "Oh so are you like a discount Thor?"the older one interjects. I don't say anything as I turn to Sam. "Who's the insulted one now." I just roll my eyes and smile.

"Why don't we let these three continue to struggle and I'll show you where you will be staying." Sarah says. "I think that's a great idea."I say as I turn to her. Art work lines the halls as we walk through the house, while toys scatter the floors. "You have a lovely house."I tell her as we continue. "Ha thank you I feel like I can never manage to keep it clean and organized."she chuckles, "Those boys sure do like the keep me on my toes." I chuckle a little as I continue to admire everything. "Sam tells me you also have a child, a daughter right?"

An image of Storm flashes through my mind at the mention of her. "Yes, her name is Storm." "I like that name."she tells me, "it's a strong powerful name." Suddenly we stop at the end of the hall at a closed door. "I apologize for some of the dust, this room hardly ever is used."she explains as the door cracks open. "I've been meaning to clean it but with all the chaos around here it feels like I never have the time." Slowly I walk inside and just admire the room. "No please don't worry about it. It's beautiful."I tell her. "Well thank you, I'll leave you to settle in. I'll be down stairs getting the boys lunches ready if you need anything." "Thank you so much for letting me stay Sarah, please let me know what I can do to help out around here. I don't want to be a burden." She just smiles and begins her walk back down the hall.

"The government stepped in and took control and kind of benched us." I hear Sam says as I walk towards the stairs. Each stair creeks as I step on it. Damn even if I was trying to be nosy and spy this would be a dead giveaway. "Bennett and Ellington dad cannot get up before noon."says Sarah, "kids keep showing up hungry but are too proud to ask for any help." "And you're just like mom feeding every kid in the neighborhood."Sam says as I finally make it into the kitchen. They get silent only for a moment though as Sam ask about favors people might owe their parents. "Well it might be time to call in a few of those favors. I'm gonna fix this damn boat."he says as he grabs a book and motions for me to come with him.

After making serval calls all day we decide to walk and enjoy the sunset by the water. "What's the story behind this boat?"I ask as we walk. "It was my parents. It's very sentimental to us but with how everything is going right now, Sarah wants to sell it to help keep things afloat." I nod as we continue to walk. "Why did you want me to come here Sam?" "Because I think you need help being you again, and well I happen to know something about that." "That is a lot easier said than done."I tell him as I look out at the water.

"Give it a try."he says. "Give what a try, sharing my feelings? Talking about all the bad shit that happened to me?! Talk about all the ways they told me they came after my family?! Thanks but no thanks Sam."I snap as I start to walk away from him. "That's exactly what you need to do!"he yells after me "how else do you expect to get better for Storm or for Bucky!" I stop dead in my tracks, his words ringing in my ears. "I may not understand the same type of hell you went through but I have been there too."he says sternly as he begins walking up to me, "at least when it was me I had the balls to admit I needed help."

Quickly I spin and face him, "you think I'm scared to admit it?!" "I think that's exactly what you are."he says this time though he stands only a few feet away. "I think you are so scared to admit you need help that you push everyone and everything away. I think you're so scared you don't want to relive everything that happened to you. You're so scared you figure if you fight everyone trying to help you they won't be taken away from you." My chest tightens at his words, because he is right.

"You have a man that loves you so deeply he went across the world just to find you. He caught wind that there was a slight chance he could bring you home and all you do is push him away. You fight him every inch there is about everything just so you won't lose him again. And then you up and leave him one night because you can't deal with your emotions. He finally gets you back and you take it away from him because of your feelings." My lip quivers at the memories. "You don't know what it was like."I say softly in hopes he can't hear me on the verge of tears, "I want to love him but what if I can't love him like he loves me? What if I can't get back to the old me?" So much for not letting him see me cry because the tears have already started to fall. "So let me try. Don't give up just yet Blue, the old you is still in there."he says as he wraps me in a hug, "she is just broken and scared but we are going to help her."
