Shattered hearts (Severus Snape)

Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, Severus only left her side for his class but immediately came right back, he was always there, every minute to every hour, by her side as she slept. He blamed himself for letting this happen. He wanted for her to wake up to say how sorry he was, he waited and waited, he didn't sleep nor eat. Minerva begged him to eat but he would always refuse.

She finally woke up one evening, the air was cold as it was winter, she opened her eyes. She wondered why her chest felt so heavy, she looked down to see Severus sleeping on her chest, leaning over the bed still sitting in the chair next to her bed.

"Professor...?"

She mumbled, trying to get up, he opened his eyes and sprang up.

"You're awake..."

She jumped slightly as he quickly hugged her, she felt his body quiver as she hesitantly hugged him back.

"I'm so sorry Irene, I'm so so sorry..."

Her heart raced when he hugged her, she didn't expect him to apologize as it was unlike him. He mind clouded with the thought that he found her.

"How...did you find me..?"

"Yes..."

She felt his heart ache as he let go of her after a while, he held her hand on his, his heart raced and didn't know why.

He didn't let her leave the bed till he returned from his classes, his heart was heavy with guilt, his heart ached with the fear he could have lost her. He sat on the chair next to her bed grading his first year papers.

"So anything interesting happen today...?"

She asked, he immediately diverted his attention from his work to her.

"The usual, although I did have to give Draco malfoy detention again for throwing paper planes at potter."

She chuckled l slightly, her heart was sore remembering the things he said to her.

"If you don't mind me asking, what happened when you where 20..?"

Her smile faded into a frown as she looked down at her hands. Her heart ached with the memories.

"I understand if it is hard for you to tell me, you don't have to if you don't want to..."

"It is alright..."

He could tell by the look in her eyes, she was hurt, his heart wanted to know more of her, he wanted to know more of her.

"Minerva told me what you are... Dumbledore told me you could share memorys."

She nodded, I wondered if something happened when I was unconscious for Albus to tell him those things.

"If you can't tell me, you came show me.."

He learned forward, putting his booked on the nightstand next to him.

I cupped his face in my hands, putting our heads together.

Snapes Pov:
The world vanished around me, I watched as Irene opened the door to her home, listening as walked on the hard wood floor. She walked through the living room, the smell of blood bombarding her senses and mine, stopping in her tracks when she saw them.

My heart dropped as she leaned again the wall crying, her husband holding the bloody wand to her. My chest tightened as she through him against the wall, stumbling to a little girl who looked exactly like her. My heart aches to hear her scream in anger and agony, she held the girl close to her chest, just as I did with her.

A shiver ran down my spine as I watched her wings unfold, so many bruises all over her body. I watched as she turned into that dragon, she destroyed the town and everyone in it.

It zoomed out quickly as I saw another memory, I didn't think she meant to show this to me. My chest bubbled with anger and I saw her lying on the floor with her husband standing over her, she was still with child, his face was blurred as he picked up a strange black knife kneeling down to her.

Then it vanished before I could see me, she pulled away quickly when I opened my eyes as we were back in the room.

"Irene...?"

I watched the color drain from her face as I couldn't help to wonder what he did to her. She leaned back onto the headboard of the bed as she seemed exhausted.

Sorry for another short chapter. I'm losing a bit of motivation along with me being busy.♡
