She quietly got up from the dark green bed, her soft ivory feet patted along the stone cold floor as she walked to the door moving around furniture to not bump into anything.
She opened the door to see Remus lupin looking down at a piece of parchment unaware she was the one who opened the door.
"Professor Snape, do you think you could help me find-"
He looked up from the paper staring at her in slight shock.
"Oh miss Irene.."
His face became stern, he clenched his jaw when he looked up over her shoulder to see Severus sleeping in the bed.
"What are you doing here Remus?"
Her voice was soft, half asleep. He loosened his grip on the parchment he was holding putting his gaze back on her lavender eyes.
"What are you doing here miss Irene, in his room?"
"My room is a disaster, so he let me stay for the night while the elves clean."
Hi voice was stern when he asked her that question, before she could say another word he already told her goodnight and walked down the hall and around the corner.
She closed the door quietly and walked back to the bed, she sat on the bed turning her head slightly to look at Severus. He looked so peaceful while he was asleep especially when nightmares weren't keeping him up as usual. She layed back down on the bed, resting her head on the dark green pillow before drifting off back to sleep.

It was four in the morning, it was still dark out but you can see the snow falling from the cold sky outside the window. It was the weekend, the students were with their families along with a few teachers, it was three days before Christmas. The room was cold sence the fire was out, you could hear the popping of the red hot burned coal in the fire place. She woke up lying on her side, she wondered why her back was so warm but the room was so cold. She turned to the side to see Severus had his arm around her waist still asleep, her eyes widened as heat rushed to her cheeks, out of reaction she rolled off the bed landing on the stone cold floor with a loud thud.
Severus quickly sat up half asleep, he bent over the side of the bed looking down at her on the floor.
"Irene, are you okay?"
"I need to go.."
She replied quickly, before he could say anything else and run after her she was already out the door. He layed back down on the bed pinching the bridge of his nose, he picked up a black feather laying on the dark green sheet, he rolled over onto his stomach on the spot where she was laying as her warm vanilla perfume was still there. He layed his face into the pillow with a sigh wishing she was still there beside him. His face became laced with confusion on what he did to make her leave in such a rush.
Severus tossed and turned the rest of the morning, he couldn't go back to sleep at the thought she was going to choose another man over him.
Hence, he tried to forget the disappointment he felt that morning, and decided that she was just being friendly towards lupin. She had such a soft heart even after what happened in her life, and Severus was not going to change her kindness with irrelevant envy of Remus lupin.
