MIDORIYA'S POV

"I'm nervous," Katsuki muttered while squeezing my hand tightly. "What if she doesn't like me?"

"You love me, right?" I asked him.

He turned to me with a serious expression etched on his face. "Of course I do."

"Then my mom will love you," I smiled. "All she's ever wanted was for me to be happy and find someone who loves me for who I am."

He took a deep breath and nodded his head. I grabbed the handle and pushed the door open. "Mom!" I yelled while pulling Katuski into my childhood home.

"Hey, baby!" My mom cheered happily as she ran into the room. I let go of my boyfriend's hand before she hugged me. "I thought you were never coming to me again!"

I squeezed her tightly and rolled my eyes. "Mom, you saw me two weeks ago."

"Two weeks is too long," she chuckled while pulling away from the hug. Her gaze drifted to the cute blond beside me.

"Mom, this is my boyfriend, Kastuki." He opened his mouth to say something, but she stopped him by pulling him into a hug.

"I've heard so much about you! I'm glad I finally get to meet you!" He awkwardly wrapped one arm around her while staring at me over her shoulder. He's not a touchy person unless it's with me. He rarely hugs his own mom.

I set my hand on my mom's back. "Mom, let's not suffocate the first guy I ever bring home for you to meet."

"Sorry, I'm just excited that you finally found someone who loves you as much as I do." Her arms dropped back to her side. "I'm going to finish dinner. Why don't you give him a tour?"

I nodded my head before she turned for the kitchen. It won't be much of a tour since it's a small two-bedroom house, but it will probably occupy us long enough for dinner to be finished.

"She seems nice," Katsuki smiled softly.

"She is, but she can be a little overwhelming sometimes. Especially if you don't know her too well." I slipped my hand into his before pulling him to the right of the front door. Since my front door opens to the living room, there isn't a whole lot left to see. "The dining room is right there; if you go through that, you'll get to the kitchen. I'll show you that when we're eating in a little while. If we go in there now, my mom might hold us hostage."

He released my hand and slowly walked around the room, mainly looking at the pictures that were placed throughout the room. "You were a cute kid, you know?"

"I know. It's a shame that I'm gay. I bet I would make the most adorable kids." He laughed lightly.

"There are other options. Options we can talk about when we're not at your mother's house." He was right. We should talk about things privately before either of our parents overhear us.

"Come on, I'll show you the rest of the house." He glanced at a few more pictures before walking back by the front door and following me up the stairs. "The first door on the left is the bathroom," I said while motioning to the open door.

He glanced inside before looking over the rest of the hallway. "And one of these your rooms in yours, and the other one is your mother's, right?"

I nodded my head while pushing open the door across from the bathroom. "My mom gave me the bigger room when she realized my wardrobe and need for excessive furniture was much bigger than hers," I chuckled.

"Your style hasn't changed too much, but this room seems more extravagant." He's not wrong. I miss my canopy bed with curtains and string lights sometimes.
