Chapter 8: May's Correct Doubts

Speculations have arose once May had foretold everything to me. She wanted to enlighten my eyes about something wrong. A few days have past, I understood that May was right, there's something strange with Rose Ann which we couldn't really explain.

After all those doubts, we were not talking that much to Rose Ann because we speculate, she's the killer of Kharl. We discovered she was a psychopath. Really? A psychopath?

"Rose Ann is a psychopath!" I exclaimed while I was with May in a quiet park.

"How did you say so?" She asked, with doubts.

I stood from the bench we were sitting, as I continued panicking. "I read a psychology book. It says a psychopath have lack of empathy. They are deceiving, and capable of being a killer, due to their impulsive traits. She's violent! She is violent, and she has the capability of becoming a murderer."

"Just because you predict she is a psychopath means she is capable of being a killer?"

I threw a gaze to May, sitting at the bench, with her eyes seriously looking at me. "I don't regard all psychopath people as killers. But as what we observe with Rose Ann, one can think there's something wrong in her way of thinking." I defended.

I knelt down to May. I held her firmly with my eyes starring at her. "We shall not make contact with Rose Ann ever again. She is dangerous. She's like a bomb, anytime, she will explode with no reason. We have to be careful."

As we studied that word, it correctly describes Rose Ann's behavior. Sometimes, we see her as dishonest or sometimes a manipulative person. One time, May narrated to me that she saw Rose Ann kicking Joey and he got afraid and ran away, when May asked what happened, Rose Ann said, "Joey fell off the ground accidentally." But May assured to herself that she saw all the happenings. Rose Ann lied!

The next day, another friend of mine was killed, he was Alex. No one popped up that moment except for Rose Ann but I didn't tell it to anybody. The strategy of killings was really exactly the same with Kharl's so it gave me an intense hypothesis that Rose Ann is the killer of Alex and even Kharl. But I don't have evidence to prove it yet.

One day, in class, Rose Ann came beside me and asked if I'm available to go to the mall with her but unfortunately, I said that I was tired which made her frustrated. I noticed it when she left me alone.

I had no communications with Rose Ann after all due to the speculations that comes. I treated her as a stranger we never knew, rather,  I was just chatting with May about her. We're so petrified on what she can do.

The next day that came, I went to May's house to fetch her but she wasn't there. Her mother said that May has already been gone going to school. I wondered why she went alone. I came along heading to school and I've encountered Zac and Joey. They wondered why I'm alone. I just said May came ahead. I even also asked them if they saw her, they said no.

At school, she's not present. What? Something's wrong. Her mother said she's going to school but why is she not here? It made me think of something bad.

Rose Ann wasn't present either but connecting the events, I worried that maybe May is with Rose Ann. No way, I can't let this happen! I also asked some of May's friends but no sign too.

At home, I kept chatting her but no response, she wasn't online at all, so I started the search.

I went out to find her but I just encountered Rose Ann and she said that it's her birthday. She'll be having a birthday celebration and I was invited. I decided to join to know if May is with her. So Rose Ann said that I'll be meeting her at her home at Tuzon Street by 7:10 PM.

In her house, I knew all the secrets. There wasn't a party at all. I just heard May's voice at her house, tied up and wounded.

Rose Ann told everything to us. I realized that she did all of this because she was in love with me but May was already there, who filled my heart. So she tried to kill May so Rose Ann can replace her.

I knew that she killed Kharl and Alex and now, she's up to killing my girlfriend. She tried to stab with her knife but with my strength, I caught the knife from her and kicked her in the chest. She got unconscious. I untied May but without knowing that Rose Ann is awake and was armed with a pistol. She shot May in the neck that ended her life. Rose Ann pointed the gun next to me but she didn't win on killing me. My friend, Joshua came and hit her in the head. He was accompanied by some cops.

After a few minutes, May was declared dead were my heart broke up. My sad feelings bottled up that I realized the world is at my head. Every single problem that I can't solve. I got saddened and didn't think well. Mixed up emotions and I don't know what's going around.

Then I found you, Lian, who gave my heart a tickle smile.
