Chapter 30: The Death

Rose Ann Meets John:

While walking home after seeing Lian, it was about 9:30 PM and it's still cold. I was crying that moment for realizing my doubts. Unexpectedly, someone who looked myterious just bumped on my way. I just passed by because I was wearing my earphones and enjoying the music. But the mysterious person shouted, "John! Wake up." I got surprised, how did he or she know my name. So I looked at that guy again. And she revelated herself. It was Rose Ann!

"Rose Ann, is that you?" I asked frightened.

"You look petrified at my presence. Aren't you surprise you found me?"

"I'm aware you're alive. And I will never forget the day you killed my heart!" I exclaimed with anger.

Then she laughed, and said, "Well then, it was a pleasure for me to break your heart. Was it gorgeous then, seeing your life in Hell, being miserable. You deserve that!"

I immediately answered back, "We treated you as your bestfriend. I treated you well. I never hurted you but you tricked us, you're a fool who once lived here to destroy other people's lives." My voice then was increasing its pitch because of my anger.

Rose Ann just laughs at me. Then she was looking anywhere, I don't understand. And later on, she pointed a gun to me and she looked at me steadily. "Now what! Be careful with your words. You don't know what you are saying. Any offensive word, something will come to an end."

Then someone came bringing a woman tied up with her mouth covered with cloth. She was wounded.

"Look at her" Rose Ann said. So I looked at the girl and it was Lian. She captured Lian! And Jhay is with Rose Ann? What?

"Jhay, what are you doing?" I asked wondering on what is happening.

"You don't know Jhay and me are now allies. Actually, even Jolmin, you're opponent to Lian but don't worry, I already killed him for you because he's useless already. He is a stubborn guy." Rose Ann said.

I still try to understand what is happening. Then Jhay, along with Rose Ann narrated everything.

Death of Jolmin:

Rose Ann stated, "While Jolmin was walking going home in Shira St., I saw him and we met. I asked him 'any update or any plans?' And he replied, 'I don't have anymore interests in revenge because I accepted already and moved on Lian is not for me. You should as well.' 'I can't imagine you would be that weak Jolmin' I said. Jolmin replied, 'It's not being weak, it's because of love.' Then Jolmin walked by passing me. Well that made me irritate. I didn't like his answer so I planned on assassinating him. At night, I called him and said, 'Can we meet? I'll be giving something to you?' When he dropped the phone we met after 6 minutes. I gave him my ballpen. He asked, 'What is this for?' Then I picked my butterly knife from my pocket then Jolmin gazed when she noticed I was picking something. I immediately stubbed him while looking at my pocket then suddenly, blood spilled from his mouth and fell to the ground. How great is that??"

"Why would you do such a thing?" I asked straightly. "Jolmin was kind. Even though we had tensions. I still treat him as my bestfriend."

"But he deserves it!" Jhay shouted while holding Lian.

"And you, why did you trust this guy?" I asked to Jhay.

"I love her." Jhay responded while laughing.

Rose Ann and Jhay:

Jhay told their story, "You remember when we went to an abandoned house searching about Rose Ann, with Joey? I told you all that she is beautiful. That moment, I got inlove with her so I privately looked for her. It also happened I even went to the forest to look for her. Then at that forest, I heard the leaves of bushes moving. So I concluded there was someone following me. I lit the place with my flashlight because it was night then when I lit one tree trunk, I saw her, so gorgeous but that moment I saw her, she wished to kill me because she was looking at me seriously and she was possessing a knife covered with blood.  I also got afraid of her but gently, I convinced her too. When she went near to me, she kept looking at me, then she said, 'I like your eyes.' Then I told her, 'You're a beautiful girl'. So she requested to grab my hand and I hold her hand and we went to her cottage in the dark forest. She pushed me to her room, then I kissed her. And I told her, 'I love you right now' then Rose Ann smiled to me then she kissed me again while it was dark, no lights at all. Suddenly, I woke up around 4 AM. We didn't we have slept and her head is laying at my chest while she was clothed with only the white blanket in the bed. I decided to go out so I got up and left her in the bed. As I went out, I chilled so I took a coat. Then while I was starring at the tall trees near the cottage, she called me from the balcony of the cottage. 'My darling' she said, and I looked immediately to her then I went near her in the balcony. She handed me a pistol and said, 'That night will serve as our truce, you will be my disciple now.' Then as I grabbed the pistol, I kissed her in her forehead as a sign of my love to her then I left quickly while she was still standing there, looking towards me. And there started our romantic relationship."

When Jhay finished, I coudn't get over. I can't believe she was seduced by an evil girl. Then Rose Ann spoke, "So now, Lian is at our hands. Her life remains with you...." "What the heck do you want?" I shouted before Rose Ann would finish speaking.

"I wanted revenge!" Rose Ann shouted. "I want to kill you all for making my life so desolating. It's you John, it's you! Who rejected me, who brought up insecurities to me because of May!"

"May is long dead! What is it you want?" I asked back.

"I'll make your life miserable, by slowly claiming all people who are important to you." Rose Ann said. Then she eventually knelt and cried. Looking at me with sorrows, she said, "Why on Earth does this happen to me?? All I want is a genuine love and yet I can't achieve it? I'd better have revenge, and be evil to make your life suffer! So John, say goodbye to your only love."

Then I looked to Lian crying. I told Lian, "Lian, look at me". Then Lian looked at me while she was also crying, then I continued, "Remember what I told you Lian! The words I told you, I wanted to die with you by my side. Don't think that this is the end. We may meet in the afterlife, but it is also my responsibility to stay firm, and protect and save you. I love you Lian, stay firm, we can surpass this. Then while crawling, I went near her and touched her cheeks to strengthen her, giving hope I can rescue her.  I repeatedly said, "Don't leave me Lian! Don't leave me."

Then Jhay laughed and pushed me away her and Rose Ann hit Lian in the head with her pistol, then Lian leaned in the road, unconscious. It was so terrible especially in my part, seeing her beaten infront of my eyes. I tried to fight back Jhay but Rose Ann pointed the gun to me and said, "Go ahead! Try to risk your life for that filthy girl." Then I got afraid so I didn't push through. But I still wept.

Rose Ann kept laughing and laughing seeing us. So Jhay, armed with a crowbar was commanded by Rose Ann to slay Lian. When Jhay raised the crowbar to kill Lian, I was shouting, "No!" Then someone said, "Stop! Drop the weapon. Then all of us looked to that person, me, Jhay and Rose Ann and saw it was the cops, with my brother, Brand, Joey, Zac and Cruz. They called the cops in order to rescue us. Since Jhay got afraid, he placed down the crowbar. Rose Ann got frustrated because her plans might not happen again.

When the cops ordered Rose Ann to drop her weapon, she said, "I would rather die than to surrender. I would rather be in Hell than to be a slave of no one!" Then she shot Lian at her side, then to Zac at his limbs then furiously, one of the cops shot Rose Ann two times, then while the cops are shooting Rose Ann, Jhay immaediately escaped and hid in a nearby wall of a house to save himself from gunshots. The cops tried to chase Jhay but Jhay ran as fast as he can and he successfully escaped.

Meanwhile, I ran to Lian because she was shot. I saw her with blood. I was so sad seeing her. Then the police with an ambulance rushed her to the hospital so me, Brand and Zac as well joined Lian. We left the cops who were investigating the event.

I was crying while we were in the ambulance. I was holding her hand while she is unconscious. I keep saying multiple times, "Don't leave me Lian, I'm still here!" Then Zac with my brother were caressing me.
