Chapter 11: The Next Step

Time for friends, absolutely done. Time to return back with special treatments to Lian. I asked her to walk her in a park and to have a date to know her more.

It is saturday of 4:20 PM and I'm excited for our event with Lian. Without no abilities to control my emotions, I hurriedly called her to make sure of our walk.

Conversation:

Me: Hey, are you available today?

Lian: You look excited! (laughed)

Me: Uhhhh, of course because the weather is fine and calm. I wanted to sink in happiness and I know I can find it through you.

Lian just said "Okay I'll be coming, just wait for me." and the call ended.

I'm waiting for 7 PM in the clock while I'm fidgetting at the couch. 

It's now 5 PM in the clock so I have to wait for two more hours to show Lian my precious love.

Well, the time is still ticking, I decided to hang out at the backyard of my house to get some fresh air from the calm night. It's so peaceful. I starred at all the stars that are peeping from the sky which reminds me again about my good old memories with May, but I have to forget her sometimes 'coz she's already deceased but I can't avoid to receive the pain from my heart once I hear her name.

Meanwhile, my brother, named Brand came to the kitchen. As I observed through the screen door of our house (he didn't see me) he took a piece of bread from the toaster and put peanut butter as its spread, then headed to his room again. He was just wearing a white T-shirt and gray shorts while earphones stick at his two ears.

And that's it! I went back inside the house then I noticed,I'm bored waiting though. Like, what? I could do other stuffs than wasting my time with no routine. I then laughed.

Lian was also May's best friend so I see all the memories through her. I recall all those because of Lian and now, I create a new chapter of happy moments from just a representation of my past.

Love can last long but it can break however.

Further minutes that pass, I still get bored. If I just had the power to fast forward in time. While waiting for 7 PM, I decided to do household chores. I decided to clean my room, to sweep the floorings and afterwards, watch the television.

As 6:30 PM came, I decided to go towards my room, the closet to search for a good outfit. I picked my brown trousers and a yellow shirt. I didn't bring any bag. Just my wallet and my phone.

After dressing up, Jhay, Jolmin and Joey left a message in my phone.

"What are you doing guys?"
-message of Jhay

"Chatting Scafford"
-reply of Jolmin

"Eating dinner"
-reply of Joey

"Preparing"
-my reply

"For what?"
-question of Jhay to me

"I'll be going to a walk with Lian."
-my reply

"Oh wow! That's great to hear. Goodluck bro."
-message of Joey

"Goodluck to you John!"
-message of Jhay

Then I reacted heart on all those messages and pressed the left arrow button to go out of the chat. I saw an unread message. A private message from our class president, Hasley.

"On monday, you're one of the cleaners for our room. You have to bring a sponge and a soap." Hasley's message

"For what?" my reply questioning.

"You'll be needing more of those for extra cleaning in the room. You, Jolmin, Altri, Xander, Abi and Keishley." Hasley's message

Oh damn! Looks like I don't wanna come to school on monday. I really hate being cleaners especially through mondays, ruins my week.

I forwarded the message to our groupchat. Jolmin, Joey just laughed.

"Uhhh, cleaners for monday"
-message of Joey

"Exhausting really!"
-my reply

"Nevermind, it's just a piece of cake."
-Jolmin's reply

"Hasley is always like that. Giving orders but she never wanted to help though."
-reply of Jhay

"What if you don't bring any materials on monday?"
-message of Bert

"Not gonna budge, you know the attitude of Hasley guys?"
-message of Jhay

"Aggresive right?"
-my reply

The conversation ended with just them seeing my message. I hope they won't reveal that to Hasley, or else, I'll get doomed up.

Wait it's almost 7, I can't let Hasley ruin my good day. She is actually suppose to help in cleaning. As I stepped on the second layer of the stair, my brother called me through his loud voice from inside his room. I replied, "Yah?" and opened the door of his room. He asked me where I'm a going. I said just in a park. He told me to be safe and enjoy!

I then proceeded going down the stairs.

I tried to chat Lian but her status says "Active 13m ago"

Hmmm... maybe she's now traveling to that park. So as I. I'm coming too!

Before going out the house. I made sure that the screendoor of the backyard is locked, the lights are turned off and the things are fixed tidy. I made sure everything was okay and thinking if something else was forgotten, I knew I did all those jobs successfully.

I then got out of the house, locked the door and headed to the park. I brought keys that I can go at my own way by not distracting my brother.

It's so cold at here. I didn't bring a jacket. Nevermind, I'll just enjoy the coldness.

A few distance from my house, I've met our new neighbor, I greeted her "hello" and that guy replied "hello too"

I introduced myself "Hi, I'm John, were already 3 years living in this place. Looks like you're a transferee here."

That guy answered, "Hi, I'm Alexis, I was a former citizen in Tuzon St. but I had to transfer to a new home to walk nearer to Thomas Edison High School, that's were I study."

I got surprised she is also a student in Thomas Edison High School. "Wait, you're a student in Thomas Edison High School, I do study there!"

"Oh really?" her reply hesitating if what I said was indeed a fact.

I said "Indeed yes, I study there. I'm a grade 10 learner, section Paris.

"Paris? the capital city of France?"

"Actually our sections are full of capitals of each countries, Paris, Warsaw, Manila, Tokyo, Moscow, Cape Town and Wellington."

"I'm a grade 8 learner and...."

"I guess you're sections are scientists' surnames?" I butt in

"Woaaahh you are really a student there. I'm in section Mendeleev." Alexis' answer

I concluded, maybe Alexis will be a close friend of mine as we've almost shared a lot but maybe sooner, we'll be constructing plenty and deeper conversations.

I can see that Alexis is like a kind person and she's also beautiful huh? But of course, no one can beat Lian's beauty.

After those, few talks, I headed straight on going to Lian at the park. She might be waiting already for me. It's almost 7 in the evening.

I never told Alexis about her. It'll be a secret for the mean time.
