Hazel's P.O.V

The following day, after the murder had taken place, I found myself struggling to shake off the thought that it might have been Aiden who committed the heinous act. I couldn't bring myself to believe that someone who had been so close to me could do something so cruel and brutal. Nevertheless, I felt that I needed to do something to put my suspicions to rest and find out the truth.

I decided to stay up all night and keep a watchful eye on Aiden's movements. My heart was pounding as I waited, hoping that he wouldn't leave his house so that my doubts could be put to rest. However, the night went by and Aiden did not step out of his house. I felt a mix of emotions - relief that my friend was not involved in the murder, but also disappointment that my investigation had not yielded any useful results.

As I lay in bed, my mind kept racing, trying to piece together the events of the previous day. I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. Half of me was convinced that Aiden was innocent, but the other half was equally sure that it was Kai who had committed the crime. It was a constant battle between my heart and my mind, each trying to sway me in a different direction.

I knew that I needed to gather more evidence if I wanted to uncover the truth. But how could I do that? I didn't want to falsely accuse anyone, especially if they were innocent. I needed to be absolutely sure before I made any accusations.

I wanted to find the truth about Kai but I didn't know how. I didn't even know where he lived. he was just a person who helped me know about Aiden's truth which was a lie. He lied to me and he was framing Aiden. I thought of only one person who can help me and that was Lily. She was the one who can help me, but it was late at night and Lily was asleep. I went to sleep thinking to tell Lily about it next day and drifted off to sleep.

I woke up the next day, still determined to get to the bottom of Kai's involvement in the murder. However, I felt lost and unsure of where to start. I didn't even know where Kai lived, and I was hesitant to confront him without solid evidence.

That's when I thought of Lily. She was one of my closest friends, and I knew that I could trust her. I decided to seek her help in figuring out the truth behind Kai's actions.

I found her in the dining room, eating her breakfast. "Lily," I said, catching her attention. "Can you come to my room? I have something to tell you."

Without hesitation, she followed me into my room. As I explained everything that Kai had told me at the cafe, tears began to well up in her eyes. It was hard for her to believe that someone we knew could be capable of such a terrible act.

But as I continued to talk, I explained that I had reason to believe that Kai was framing Aiden for the crime. I needed Lily's help to keep an eye on him and gather evidence to prove his guilt.

"why is Kai framing Aiden?" "Why are you telling me this now?" she asked, wiping away her tears.

"I don't know why Kai is doing this and I am telling you this now Because I need your help," I replied, feeling emotional. "I don't know how to proceed, and I know that you're smart enough to help me figure it out."

Lily took my hand and promised that she would do everything she could to help.

After two days of brainstorming with Lily, we came up with a plan to gather more information about Kai. We decided that I would try to befriend him and learn more about his background and habits. Perhaps we could gather some evidence that would prove whether or not he was involved in the murder.

The following day, I approached Kai and started a conversation with him. "Where do you live?" I asked, trying to sound casual. "Why do you want to know?" he replied, leaning closer to me. I could feel my cheeks turning red and my heart racing as I moved away from him. "Oh, just in case something happens and I need to find you," I said, trying to play it cool. He chuckled and gave me a smile as I made my way towards the school's exit.

Later that day, I realized that Kai had not actually told me where he lived. I felt a sinking feeling in my stomach as I realized that he was becoming even more suspicious to me. When I told Lily about this, she urged me to keep trying and to not give up on our plan. We needed to stay focused if we wanted to uncover the truth.
