A/N
Hi guys, I hope you are finding the book interesting. In the last chapter when Hazel opened her eyes meant she is now in the present. Before, it was just her memory.

Hazel's P. O. V.
I can't believe it's already been four weeks since we killed Aiden. It's been difficult adjusting to life without him, and there are moments when I feel an overwhelming sadness that brings me to tears. But we had to do it. We reported it to the police, so they wouldn't suspect us.

After school, I went to see Kai. He was leaning against the wall, sipping on his chocolate milkshake. I took a deep breath and confessed, "Kai, I did it." He looked at me, confused, and asked, "What did you do?"

"We murdered Aiden," I said, trying to keep my voice steady. Kai's face had a strange expression, a mix of surprise and something else that made me uneasy. "Are you happy about it?" I asked him, searching for any sign of remorse.

He quickly shook his head and said, "Of course not. I'm just glad you trusted me." Despite his words, there was a twisted happiness in his eyes that left me feeling even more unsettled. I remained silent and left.

As the night wore on, my mind was filled with confusion and grief. Both Aiden and Liam had been like brothers to us. I missed Aiden terribly. As I drifted off to sleep.

I jolted awake, gasping and letting out a small scream. Lily was sitting next to me, looking concerned. "Are you okay?" she asked as she moved closer.

I took a deep breath and tried to calm down before responding, "Yeah, it's just the same nightmare again." She looked at me curiously and asked, "What kind of dream is it?"

"It's always the same thing," I said, feeling frustrated. "Aiden and I are in a white room, and he keeps repeating, 'You killed me for no reason.'" The dream felt so real every time, and it always left me feeling uneasy and guilty.

Lily placed her hand on my forehead and said, "Your fever seems to have gone down a bit. You should rest now." I nodded, still lost in my thoughts.

As she got up to leave, my mind started to race with thoughts " Did we do the right thing by killing Aiden?"

(To be contd.....)
