CHAPTER 38: Motives Unknown...
Tonight, I was in one of the rooms backstage where there was a TV monitor and I was watching Darby's match against Sammy Guevara in a 4 Pillars tournament. Earlier Darby was pretty much set on for tonight and very much adamant on wanting to win tonight since he wants a shot at MJF for his title.
The watch was honestly pretty good though I didn't like Sammy too much since he got in my face the first time I arrived at AEW cause I was talking to his wife.
But anyway, I saw on TV that Darby and Sammy were really going at it, doing their stunts and whatnot.
Later on in that match
Darby fights Sammy off and sets him up on the table but Tay Melo (Sammy's wife) provides a distraction, allowing Sammy to catch Darby with an avalanche Spanish Fly. Then Sammy went for the cover but Darby kicks out at two. Sammy now sets Darby up on the table and crushes Darby with the 630 senton.
After that, Sammy got in and the ref started counting for a few but Darby somehow makes it in the ring before the ten count leaving Sammy in shock.
Then that's when MJF heads to the ring himself. Darby heads up top but MJF is here and MJF throws Darby the skateboard while Tay was distracting the referee. Soon, the ref turns around and Sammy fakes the injury which is a sneaky Eddie Guerrero kind of move.
Darby then realizes on the dirty trick they pulled, Darby immediately dropped his skateboard to the side and tried giving the referee an explanation but the referee calls for the bell.
This led Sammy to win via disqualification.
Then Sammy and MJF go to attack and stomp down on Darby for a bit then a Theme song hits as Jungle Boy Jack Perry came running out to save Darby, causing MJF and Sammy to leave the ring.
When Jack Perry offered his hand to help Darby up, that's when Darby smack his hand away,obviously pissed off on what happened and didn't want his help.
Then soon, Tony Schiavone goes to make his announcement on the microphone to MJF and Sammy Guevara. He even called MJF a prick.
"You can't talk to me like that!" MJF would speak out to him.
That's when Tony replied "I just did"
This obviously made me laugh while watching all this on TV as Tony Schiavone announced that Tony Khan has told him that Sammy Guevara has earned the shot, but next week Jungle Boy and Darby Allin will take on MJF and Sammy in a tag team match. If Darby and Jungle Boy win, it will be a Pillars Four-way Match for the title.
